Costco Optical

First of all, they do not answer the phone. Tried several times calling. I went in and no one was at the counters and you don’t take a ticket anymore. You have to scan a QR code. I was getting my phone out to do this and when this guy who was just standing there doing nothing I asked do I really need to get the QR code or can you just help me? He was really snotty and said well I don’t know can I? I just needed to get a no prescription lens put in my right side of my glasses because I’m having a lens put in to correct my vision right eye only They won’t do just one lens I would have to pay for two, which is ridiculous. Then he started to tell me how old my glasses were and how degraded The frames were. I’m like seriously they’re only two years old and they’ve been in the case for a year. I don’t know why I come to Costco optometry at all. They’re never very nice. They must be very unhappy working there because nobody has a smile or cares to be friendly. I went to Poway optometry. They’re so nice and friendly, no problem. They’re gonna have a lens for me in five days totally reasonable price $60 for progressive and glare resistant lens. I know they can be a little more expensive but they’re much better quality and it’s just nice to be treated like a human being.

Steven at Costco Optometry was amazing in helping me get my first pair of prescription glasses. He was patient, informative, and walked me through all the options to customize my lenses and overall experience. He made what felt overwhelming at first really easy and comfortable. I really appreciated his help and would definitely recommend him.

Five stars for the Optical Center! Today Alan was amazing…he got me in and out quickly without sacrificing quality. Extremely satisfied with the customer care and highly recommend seeing Alan if you need help! -Jenna

Made tons of glasses there and consistently dealing with rude, unengaged, and distanced staff. Still not sure why is that.

Optical department in Costco Poway- just want to say thank you to Linda. She been more than helpful and she want behind her duties to make us happy and comfortable. We pitched four glasses. Each one was little different and insurance could not be pulled up in system so she want thorough phone calls and details to make it happen. She truly cares. She tested each glasses mutual times due to my husband vision and he had fish tank effect in prior glass purchases. Many thanks and we will be back 😀
