Costco Optical

I visited the optical on 8/18/2025 to place an order for my glasses, I order 3 pairs and on 8/23/2025 I got a text that one pair was ready and the other two are coming in 8/26 or 8/27. My experience with Costco Optical (Eve) was excellent, the staff very knowledgeable and helpful, thank you guys, keep up the good work.

Understaffed and the customer turnaround time is terrible. The actual eye doctor office was great -- well the doctor we saw and the support staff. However, we tried to order glasses on Monday evening and then came back on Wednesday morning, and were unable to do so simply because of the wait times. Both times, as they appeared to be severely understaffed and in addition, once it was a customer's turn, it appeared that the turnaround time was unreasonably long -- I think we were in and out of our eye exam in less time that it took somebody to sit down at the counter and hand them a prescription and make an order. So after two trips there, we still do not have glasses ordered. I think that most people simply cannot dedicate an entire morning or entire afternoon or evening to just ordering glasses.

Definitely agree with an earlier post. Turnaround time seems to be awful especially when compared to the Moreno valley, Ontario, and Menifee Costco. The service I had was not bad per say, but I am leaving a low rating because they were unable to accept my prescription without my name on it. This is not an error on the team members part, but seems to be a stupid rule to have. I did have my prescription, but without my name they were unable to process it. They also let me know that regardless of if I hady eye exam done at another Costco they were unable to look up my prescription either. This just seems very lame, and you could easily just buy glasses online and input your prescription manually. I would definitely recommend buying glasses through another online retailer such as glasses USA or Kits.

Walked in with no appointment. Was seen in a matter of minutes. Charlie, Julie and Holly are the best Optical Associates, asked for my insurance, my health savings account, very helpful with picking out my frames, very knowledgeable. Dr. Schroeder was very thorough, customer service friendly overall great service. I've known him since 1985 when he was on Main St. Thank you all so very much. Making an appointment was quite easy and they were very accomodating when I needed to reschedule. The women at the front desk were very helpful and very welcoming. However, the optometist present (Dr. Robert Homuth) was very condescending and unprofessional in that respect throughout the exam. Other than that it went by very quickly.
