My recent visit to the independent Optometry Office inside Costco left me incredibly dissatisfied with the service provided by Dr. Ann Vi Nguyen and her staff. Unfortunately, I encountered multiple issues that significantly impacted my experience. Firstly, there was a mistake in my prescription. Dr. Nguyen erroneously listed Avaira Vitality instead of Acuvue Vita in my prescription. I just did a double check before placing an order for lenses amd found the mistake. Secondly, I was given trial lenses that had expired back in December 2022 by the doctor (see below). It is unacceptable for a reputable optometry office to distribute expired products to their patients, as it poses serious health risks and undermines trust in their professionalism. Thirdly, when I returned in the next week for a replacement of the trial lenses, the second set of trial lenses provided to me was incorrect in the cylinder number. This error demonstrates a lack of attention to detail and competency in fulfilling basic prescription requirements. They are willing to give me a new set, but it's a great waste of my precious time. Fourthly, I was disappointed to find that the red-green duochrome test (see below), a standard procedure in eye exams to refine prescriptions, was not conducted during my visit. The exam was “quick” but without this test, I felt that my prescription may not have been as precisely determined as it could have been. Overall, my experience at the Dr. Ann Vi Nguyen’s Office was disappointing and concerning. I urge Costco management to address these issues promptly to ensure the safety and satisfaction of other customers in the future. I hope I am the last person to be mistreated by Dr. Ann Nguyen office. Thanks for reading and make sure you double check the contact lenses they offer you.

I came here a few months ago, One of the staff was persistent of getting my prescription. Which I did end up doing, I made an appointment with an eye doctor. I use the recommended prescription and brought the two pairs of glasses. When I got them and tried them on it didn’t seem right. I didn’t question it but after wearing them a couple of days it didn’t work out :(

Shoutout to Bill the front desk worker for putting me on hold for 20 mins! I came to read costcos reviews in the meantime since this was pretty slow of them to even set me up with an eye appointment. Looks like they need to change different staff or hire people with common decency for customers. Terrible stuff coming from costco… 12/30/25 If you read this, i suggest you listen to the other reviews and stay away from them. 🙏🏻

So happy I was able to be seen here! I was in need of an eye exam and luckily when I called they were able to book me in the next morning. Not only was the staff at the front super welcoming but they were very thorough with explaining the eye imaging procedure. The atmosphere and energy here made me feel very comfortable and at ease. Once I was able to be seen by Dr. Nguyen, she gave the same excellent service which honestly made me so happy that I chose to come to this vision center than the Costco closer to me (based on reviews)! She was welcoming, kind, and explained everything I was seeing and answered my questions with such patience. Thank you to the whole staff for being very kind, helpful, and efficient! Service like that isn’t always the case! Will definitely recommend Dr. Nguyen to friends and family in the area!

If I could only leave no star at all. Came in 10/16/2024. I literally only spent 5 minutes with Ann Vi Nguyen. After talking to her rude assistant and got called inside. Here's what Ann Vi Nguyen did. 1 or 2, 1 or 2, 1 or 2, okay, here's your prescription. Your prescription went down. I asked why? She said idk maybe they over corrected it the last time." Then that's it she printed my prescription, and I'm done. She didn't even let me try the old glasses vs. the newer prescription. Right there and then, I already knew something was wrong, but I went with the flow. Got my glasses done, and now 10/26/24 received my glasses. My PD was wrong. The prescription was wrong. I felt dizzy right away. I tried to call and set up another appointment to correct the issue, but they didn't pick up the phone. I tracked my old doctor, who made my current glasses and got hold of them to set up an appointment, but now my insurance won't cover it because Ann Vi Nguyen already got the first dibs on my insurance and on top of that they charged me $60 copay. Don't go there. Ridiculous.
