My husband and I had our first experience at Costco Vision Center in Fort Collins today. It was awesome! We were both quite impressed with Dr. Gee. We each felt it was the most complete and comprehensive eye exam we’d had in a long while. Dr. Gee was quite attentive and shared a wealth of information. He discovered new concerns and promptly referred us to specialists for further follow-up. He was very patient with all my questions and took the time to address each one. The two female staff members in his office were very good as well. We also found the eye glasses department to be great. They were very helpful and patient as we chose frames and made sure the order was correct for each pair. Adam cheerfully helped us through the process. I cannot speak to the quality of the eye glasses yet since we just ordered them, but the frames felt sturdy and they had many options from which to choose. We ordered four pairs total and were pleased with the price. Based on this experience, I highly recommend Dr. Gee the Costco Vision Center.

Just picked up a new pair of glasses and they are excellent. Probably the best pair I've every had, and I've been wearing glasses for over 50 years. It makes me think that the eye centers I've used in the past did not use good lense makers. The price was also exceptionally reasonable (I have no insurance). I also like the fact that they did not add on extras like when you buy a new car. Everything I needed, like scratch resistence, was included! Amazing! Fyi, the optometrist exam was also great.
Do NOT go if you are ever in a hurry for groceries or food outside of the pharmacy or Vision Center. This location is exceptionally slow at the registers. With that said though, the Vision Center is really good and normally are quite quick. I have used them for a number of years and the final result is never a disappointment. As far as the store itself, aisles are wide but whether morning or afternoon, it gets super crowded. Customer service is important to me and this location is far from the best. Went to renew my membership again and one of the staff assistants was very rude when I asked if I could get an updated card. Unfortunately I had misplaced mine. The cost of membership has gone up quite a bit and I am not sure the savings are worth it anymore over what you could get at Costco for cheaper membership rate or even a local grocery store.
I have purchased several pairs of glasses over the years at this Costco. The prices can’t be beat by any retailer. I find the selection good. The staff is helpful and the order is normally completed within 5 days!
I had the most enjoyable visit to the Costco optical in Fort Collins thanks to employee, Cade Bean! I've been in the hunt for new sunglasses and know that Costco opticals carry different products from one location to the next. When you find something you like, it's best to take the leap. Cade took the time to explain all my options and was helpful in explaining the pros and cons of choosing frames with and without nose pads. He noted how plastic frames sat on the bridge of my nose. Before measuring, he asked specific questions such as whether or not I like to sit up straight or lean back while driving. He said he is "picky" about those things. I say he is METICULOUS! After all that, I decided to purchase a second pair of clear glasses (because Costco takes $50 off). One of the other employees was wearing a sassy pair of bold red frames and she allowed me to try them on. I've always wanted red frames, but they weren't right for me. She walked over to the wall and pulled a frame off and suggested I try them on. I immediately fell in love with them! Cade had already submitted the order for the Caribbean blue frames I'd chosen, so I was hesitant to tell him I wanted the red ones instead, but he was so polite and assured me it was NO PROBLEM. Of course it meant that he had to measure for this new frame. After he submitted the order, he took the time to show me the changes, line by line. He answered every question I had. He was patient and very professional. He was friendly and easy to talk to. Cade is a "keeper." I have thought multiple times about my new glasses and how excited I am to get them. When they arrive, I plan to pick them up when Cade is working. He is a young man with the knowledge, skills, and personality to be quite an asset in the COSTCO optical department.
