Had a wonderful experience with Dr. Garneau. He was very educational and took his time with me. Being new to the practice he was still learning but did not let that bother him. Loved he walked me to the front and made sure checkout was smooth and had no other questions. Was slightly disappointed in the way the receptionist behaved with him. She was rather unprofessional, it seemed to have been a misunderstanding but the way she responded to him was a bit shocking to me. The matter was something that could have been discussed away from customers when it was more appropriate to do so. Dr. Garneau handled the situation very professionally and did not let the unprofessionalism of the receptionist stop him from continuing excellent care. The other receptionist was very friendly and super helpful to the other people that were checking in and out after me. Still a 5 star amazing review and plan on staying here for my future eye care!!!!

Great eye exam with Dr. Torgerson. Was happy to learn his practice is privately owned and not consumed by private equity like so many others. They offer appointments into the early evening (didn't matter to me, but thought this was a nice option for those who can't cut out of work in the middle of the day). Took a star off because of follow up call to get my pupillary distance (PD) number for my prescription and the front desk sounded agitated and insisted they don't capture that even though I heard the tech mention it during the pre-exam. Maybe they don't chart it, but no need to gaslight me like it never happened. Anyway, I'm still planning to come back for my annual exam next year.
I have been a customer for a few years and this was the first time I didn’t feel like the exam was rushed. Dr Eric focused on my left eye to assure that my glasses would be more accurate. (Which no one cared to do in the past) John was helpful when I was picking out my frames and the ladies at the front were quite friendly and professional. Thank you!
Dr. Torgerson is the last remnant of a dying breed. He devotes all the time that is necessary to diagnosing and remediating vision problems. While most other Optometrists have sold out to private equity firms, Dr. T. remains independent and dedicated to his patients. I feel very fortunate to have been under the care of him and his father before him. He has taken great care of my elderly mom as well, for which I am especially grateful.
Dr. Torgensen is hands down one of the best doctors I’ve had the pleasure of seeing. He probably has some of the best bedside manner I’ve experienced. He never makes you feel intimidated or talked down to because he’s the doctor. Instead, he has a way of bringing everything back to center, making you feel comfortable, informed, and at ease. He also makes the experience enjoyable, which is rare in healthcare. They had a new full-eye scan that was incredibly cool, and he made it feel exciting instead of clinical or stressful. He’s honest, kind-hearted, and genuinely seems to care about people. What I appreciate most is that he feels like a real human being first, and a doctor second, in the best possible way. That warmth and authenticity make a huge difference. Highly recommend Dr. Torgensen and his team!
