The staff are friendly, and I like the glasses I purchased at an affordable price. They weren't able to help me get my frames to fit, though. The frames were too tight initially, which you often can't tell immediately after an adjustment. I came back to get them loosened four times. The final visit to Costco, I explained I had already been by 3 times and what happened at the visits, I was still getting headaches from the frames being too tight, and I showed them my former pair of frames so they could compare. I didn't know what else to do. Was I supposed to get angry? I still got a headache after their adjustments. When corrective lenses don't work - something you rely on to function - it is so frustrating. Finally, I watched videos on how to adjust frames using hot water or a blow dryer. This will void warranties on the glasses, so use caution. First try on my own, loosening them as much as I safely could, and they immediately fit well and didn't give me headaches anymore. The staff I saw need more training on questions to ask and how to follow through, but I still really like the optical center for non-frame fitting needs.
The Vision Center team was great! I went in to choose new frames, but I realized halfway through doing all the paperwork that I forgot my credit card. They held everything for me so I could run home for it and come back that afternoon. After finishing the transaction, I realized that my vision insurance had changed, so I needed to go back again and change the payment method so it went through my new vision insurance rather than paying out of pocket. They patiently walked through that whole complicated process with nothing but professionalism and grace. I was so frazzled but they were so kind and made me feel so much better in the end after getting me totally sorted!
I ended up changing my prescription for 2 pairs of glasses and the frames for 1 pair after I received them. It was all handled very easily and didnt reciecive any push back from the staff. Both pairs were ready sooner than the was originally stated. Price was lower than any other eye glass companies.
I love the optical team at this Costco. Everyone is great and has been super helpful every time I’ve needed anything optical related. They have a great selection of designer frames and they’re pretty affordable. Shoutout to Aaron for finding some replacement frames in another country for me, definitely felt like he went above and beyond for me! Thanks again!
