I don’t believe these are even legitimate optometrists, as the Doctor’s certificate on the wall with last name Patel is someone you never meet. 5 visits later after some guy who says he does the exams recommending multi focal contacts gave us a prescription that made my vision almost impossible and was half the strength of my old prescription. Instead of next exam on each of the next 4 visits, he, would just guess and slide me a new box of samples that were stronger and would say just try these. The last box we were charged for and they were worse, but Costco wouldn’t allow a re try em or credit because someone wrote an R for right eye on the box. Crazy place. Went to a real optometrist and a real exam and got everything right the first time.

I purchased my glasses from Costco optical at Cumberland and they were awesome. I needed to bring them back in to have the fit adjusted and the whole team (Trudy, Aviva, Nick and Sable) were top notch with their assistance. Although they were super busy they found time to offer great assistance. 10/10 would recommend.

My eye doctor recommended Costco optical because they were much cheaper than using my vision insurance benefit. They were great to work with, helpful, and my glasses were completed quickly and correctly. Highly recommend without hesitation.

I went to Dr. Patel for an eye exam with an emphasis on needing improved vision at the computer for work. I ordered eyeglasses with the prescription that he wrote with zero improvement. In fact, the outcome was worse than my 4 year old prescription. I am now on my FOURTH pair of eyeglasses, 3 adjusted prescriptions and all at the expense of $950 with no acceptance of responsibility on Dr. Patel's part. Costco was gracious enough to offer me a $100 gift card to try and offset some of the expense. I've been wearing glasses for 30+ years and have never had a bad experience - I can not recommend this practice.

I came in at 5:45 PM, well before the posted closing time of 6:00 PM, and asked for assistance. I was told they only had five minutes to help me. When I pointed out that the store closes at 6, I was told I technically had 15 minutes but that they would “walk away” from me at closing time. I was genuinely surprised by how dismissive and unprofessional this interaction was. I’ve come to expect much better customer service from Costco and left feeling very disappointed.
