The optical department is great, and so are the employees that work there. Knowledgeable and helpful, I had high hopes for finding the perfect glasses. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same for my actual comprehensive exam experience with the doctor. Never having had a real eyesight test, I was unsure what to expect, but was excited to find a path to clear vision. Because my eyes have been slow to focus as of late, I struggled throughout the exam. All of the slides were blurry to me, which is what brought me there in the first place - I can't see! Dr. McLaughlin seemed pretty put out that an exam that normally takes 5 minutes was nearing 15, and answered in the affirmative when I asked if it was easier to give a toddler an exam. We never did get to how much time I spend looking at a computer screen, the constant headaches, dry eyes, or any of the other symptoms that brought me there on the advice of my doctor. That's probably my fault, though, as I just wanted to leave so I could cry in my car, rather than in the office.
