My experience at the Costco Vision Center was outstanding, all thanks to Jake. As a business owner myself, I can confidently say he’s one in a million. His professionalism, personality, and attention to detail are truly rare to come by. Every time I need my glasses adjusted or repaired, Jake is the only person I trust. I can’t recommend him highly enough — he’s the kind of employee every business wishes they had.
I LOVE this optical center! Everyone has been so friendly & greets me when I walk up. I believe you get what you give- show love & respect for any retail associate because it’s a difficult job- at Costco they return the love and respect tenfold! Thank you all, greatly appreciate you!
On the afternoon of May 2, 2024, I visited the Costco Optical Department because the nose pads of my new eyeglasses from there needed adjustment. The lady who handled my eyeglasses was very incompetent and unprofessional. Firstly, she put the nose pad inside out, with the screw facing the nose (see the picture!!!), causing severe skin irritation when I put on the glasses!!! (I wasn't able to inspect them initially without wearing any glasses.) Secondly, she directly touched the glasses, leaving lots of smudges on them. I left with dirty glasses and had to clean them myself afterward. Additionally, a couple of weeks ago, when I first received the new eyeglasses, she placed one nose pad almost vertically and the other almost flat, also leaving smudges on my new glasses, suggesting a pattern of lack of professionalism. (Thankfully, on that occasion, a gentleman who also worked there was able to fix those incorrectly placed nose pads and thoroughly clean the glasses for me; he was very professional and kind. Unfortunately, he wasn't there on May 2. Lastly, this review is not for Dr. Liette. I visited Dr. Liette several times; he is very professional and shows care to his patients.)
I went to Costco Optical to get a couple of new pairs of glasses. I worked with James and he was great. He was able to quickly help me with what I needed and was able to answer all questions I had about the glasses themselves and insurance coverage. He even let me know about a glasses promotion Costco was running that saved me a few extra bucks. I definitely plan to go back here for all future glasses needs. Five stars.
