I have purchased my glasses from Costco for a while now and this was the first time I have felt lied to by the staff. I have purchased my glasses and for a while, I had no complaints until I began to notice the surface of one of the glasses has begun to deteriorate. It was peculiar to me because only the one lens was showing the signs of deterioration while the other looked like new. The deterioration would get worse and worse so I asked the staff if perhaps the right lens did not get a protective coating. Instead of helping me, they begun to tell me that it was all my fault and perhaps I sprayed hairspray on the lens. Firstly, I do not use hairspray. Secondly, that would not affect only one lens on the glasses and make it deteriorate as it has. After being blamed for something that was obviously a factory error, I went to a professional optician who confirmed that the lens deterioration was 100% a manufacturing error and no fault of my own. The lens has now deteriorated to the point that I can not see clearly through one eye and I have been getting headaches from wearing the glasses for too long. People have now been coming up to me and asking what is wrong with my glasses, which is immensely embarrassing. Instead of being helped with the manufacturing error, this Costco Optical staff pushed all the blame on me and refused to listen to what I was explaining. After years of loyalty, I don't think I can recommend Costco Optical anymore. Very disappointing.

Had an AMAZING experience with the Costco Optical Department customer specialist! We were taken care of by Christopher, who was extremely personable and helped me have the perfect fit on my new glasses. He went above and beyond, and his personality made the experience so much fun. Will go back to him in the future!

Julie was just wonderful to work with! She was friendly, efficient, calm, and just overall very pleasant and did her job very well. Costco also had a Really great selection of frames and their $50 off a second pair deal made buying two pairs of glasses extremely reasonable. We were very happy with our experience there and definitely will return.

So affordable and so EASY! In my case, I was in and out (doctor's exam, frames chosen and ordered) in around an hour. The doctor and his staff were friendly, professional and thorough. The optical staff were helpful when I needed it, but were also content to let me look on my own. Not a huge, huge selection, but plenty of name brands at good prices. Most I saw were well under $100. Even BEFORE insurance, my glasses (and I am older with awful sight) were about $125 LESS than they were AFTER insurance at a chain for my last pair. Definitely worth checking out if you are a Costco member! (You can see the eye dr without a membership, I believe.)

I saw Dr. Ray for my first eye exam in years. He was so kind and really listened to my concerns. I felt very comfortable with him and will return when it's time to get my eyes checked again. Great Doctor for the whole family.
