I had a very negative experience with Nhut Tran. He was rude, abrupt, and he is unprofessional when scheduling my appointment. People pay for their consultation to be treated respectfully and calmly, but he only wants the money and to be rude. I don’t understand how Costco hires people like this. His behavior was unacceptable, and I do not recommend him under any circumstances.

I came in to have my glasses repaired after doing a butchery job on them and a very kind associate was able to help me within minutes. Her name was Ana and got me in and out very quickly. And free of charge. Thanks so much

The actual name of the office providing eye exams (located at a separate outside entrance directly behind the Costco Vision Center) is Premier Optometric Services, P.C. and Dr. Nhut Tran, O.D. is the doctor providing exams. For several weeks I’ve been looking to get an eyeglass exam while comparing prices and I almost didn’t go here due to reading negative reviews. When I found out an eyeglass exam is $70 at this location, I decided to take a chance though. And after my exam I’m still trying to figure out the negative reviews! From the moment I walked in the door, to when I left with my prescription, Dr. Tran was friendly, very efficient, and explained each step of the testing in more detail than any provider I’ve seen before. As someone who prefers to understand what I’m being assessed for at each part of testing, I really appreciated the thoughtfulness and clarity of Dr. Tran’s explanations. I feel like a lot of doctors skip this step and focus on telling patients only the steps necessary to physically accomplish the exam - “Sit here. Look straight ahead here. Read the third line.” etc. After explaining my prescription, Dr. Tran let me know what to look for in the coming years with vision and aging, then I was on my way. The whole visit was thorough, yet efficient. Walking to the Costco Vision Center to try on eyeglass frames, it struck me not only was I treated fairly, I’d just received the quickest and most well-explained eye exam I’ve ever experienced. I have a friend who’s been looking for a provider for eye exams too and as soon as I left I texted them about this place. And for those who are wondering, anyone can go to this office, you don’t need to be a Costco member to access. Your exam receipt validates free parking at the Costco entrance. Overall highly recommend for price, customer service, and efficiency!

Incredibly efficient and zero wasted time. I could understand lower ratings from those wanting to chat or needing to wait for something but with the efficient professional mindset in mind in advance of my visit, my expectations were met and exceeded.

Terrific experience. The doctor is quick and efficient. He takes the time to explain everything in detail and answers questions but doesn’t spend unnecessary time on small talk. Most importantly, the eye exam isn’t his gateway to selling high-margin frames. I was in and out with my prescription in 15 minutes. If no one answers the phone, leave a message, he does get back to you. And build in time to get there early, Costco’s parking lot is a mess.
