I must share our experience at the East Wenatchee Costco Optical department last night 1/3/26. I called to ask if they still had my prescription on file. Erin answered the phone and told me yes they did, but it expires in 3 days. She checked to see if my brand of contacts were in stock, they were but I had to purchase a 24 pack of each or order them in 12 packs. I said, I will be there shortly. We walked in and she and the other lady were very friendly and had my contacts already ready for me. She asked if I had insurance. I explained I had not received my card yet as it was a new year and I wasn’t sure what it covered so don’t worry about it. She then asked if we had a few minutes so she could run some information for me to see if she could find my insurance in the system and maybe save me some money. We said, sure! A few minutes later I heard her giggle and call my name. She said, Laura, I found your insurance. I said, you did? She said yes, you now owe $41 and change!! I said WHAT!??? OMGgoodness!!! My previous total was over $235!!!! THIS right here is customer service!!! Thank you Erin! You have our vote for employee of the year!! At least the month!

Had new glasses made because the frame on my current pair failed and could not be repaired (and only 18 months old). Obtained a very similar pair of glasses with the same prescription (exam from my local optometrist) at barely 25% of the price charged by my local optometrist. Staff was very helpful and cordial. Glasses arrived in 9 days compared to almost a month from the local provider. Couldn’t be happier!
The exam and meeting were what you would expect from an average appointment. I however told the receptionist that I had VSP and she stated that was okay. Little did I know they are not in network for VSP and that I would be left with a huge out of network bill. I would caution anyone coming here to be sure you independently check and ensure their insurance will work with this provider.
Terrible! If I could give a zero I would ! I paid for my eye exam and could not see and when I called for a follow-up they couldn't see me for another week. When I explained I couldn't wait that long as everything was blurry and as a full-time student I was struggling to read the extremely unprofessional women said "I can't magically produce a time for you if we are booked". Beyond unprofessional and disrespectful to talk to clients in that capacity. Terrible in a customer service setting.
