Costco Optical

I had a fabulous experience at Costco Optical. For me it was over 1/2 less the price of Vision Works. I did not have to wait at all for my appointment. Ordering and glasses service was smooth and the people were very patient and helpful. They went out of their way to save me additional money. Kindness and smiles. Worth your time to give it a try for yourself!

The staff I encountered were all extremely efficient and helpful. My glasses are perfect (progressives). I came here after having to return glasses at another large eyeglasses chain because they made me dizzy. I did not see the optometrist here, though.

David Dempsey is a nationally certified optician who clearly knows his craft inside and out. Professional, detail-oriented, and incredibly knowledgeable. He takes the time to make sure everything is right, not just acceptable. He explains lens options clearly, makes smart recommendations based on real-world use, and ensures the final fit and vision are dialed in perfectly. No upselling. No rushing. Just solid expertise and confidence backed by experience. The entire experience was efficient, seamless, and genuinely reassuring. This was my first time here, and it definitely won’t be my last because of him. If you want precision, honesty, and someone who actually cares about the outcome, David Dempsey is the one. This is how eyewear should be done.

I’m honestly pretty disappointed with my experience at Costco Optical. The pricing may be good, but the scheduling process completely ruined it for me. Appointments feel heavily overbooked — I arrived on time and still had to wait far longer than expected. What’s the point of booking a time slot if you’re going to sit there like a walk-in? The waiting area was crowded, staff seemed rushed, and the whole visit felt chaotic rather than professional. I understand busy periods happen, but this felt like poor planning, not a one-off situation. If you value your time, be prepared for delays. Unfortunately, this experience makes me hesitant to book here again.

Customer service at this location is the worst I've ever seen. I had an 11:15 appt and arrived on time (2 minutes early) and was checked in and all set in 5 minutes. I walked out at 12 noon after waiting 45 minutes for nothing. I will not be back, if you are smart you should spend your time and money somewhere else.
