Custom Eyes on Broadway in the Lakeview neighborhood of Chicago is such an exceptional optical shop. The staff are not only professional, but so personable and patient and a pleasure to deal with. Dave, and Tye, and Nicole, are all exceptionally knowledgeable and really enjoy what they do. The shop is comfortable and clean, and the pace is very relaxed. They went out of their way to make sure I was completely satisfied with my purchase. They offered numerous options and created an experience that made me want to return to the shop just to say hello and continue maintaining the great relationship I’ve now built with them. I couldn’t more highly recommend Custom Eyes as the optical shop to which you should go. Their inventory is diverse and extensive and their friendly and personable demeanor goes beyond professionalism. 10 out of 10.

I went to Custom Eyes ready to accept I had to switch contacts, as my optometrists have been telling me for years I had to. Casey listened and didn’t pressure me to accept an inferior product. He educated me on what would give me the best results and worked with the manufacturer to get me the best possible lenses. I’m super impressed and happy with the care I received!

For my first real eye exam, Custom eyes was great! The optometrist was very thorough and explained everything really well. When it came to picking out my glasses they were super helpful with finding what looked good on me. Highly recommend them!

We had a very disappointing experience at Custom Eyes Lakeview at 3123 Broadway, Chicago. My daughter went in for a routine vision checkup, and she was overcharged far beyond what was explained or expected. The pricing was not transparent, and I did not feel the costs were justified or clearly communicated beforehand. They put a charge of $60 for "CL Evaluation and Management New", which the patient or insurance was not aware, and they did not submit that fraudulent charge to VSP (Insurance). I am having my company to start the investigation into this charge. As a parent, it’s frustrating to feel taken advantage of, especially for a basic service that should be straightforward. I would not recommend this location unless pricing is clearly discussed in advance. There are plenty of other vision providers that are more upfront and respectful of their patients.

My roommate drunkenly crushed my glasses a while back and they’ve been crooked ever since. Strolled into CustomEyes on a whim and within 20 mins, I walked out with what felt like an entirely new pair. Huge thanks to Ty and Dave.
