My experience could’ve been better. There was a female employee sitting at the front desk when I walked and she didn’t even greet me. She just looked over as the male employee as if it was his turn to assist. She made me feel more tolerated than appreciated. The poor experience didn’t stop there. The gentleman who assisted was very upbeat and positive but very aggressive. Every pivot in the conversation appeared to be a new up-sale opportunity. I ultimately stuck with my original request of getting lenses in my two pre purchased frames. When the glasses were ready for pickup, I returned and routinely try them on before leaving. One of them was a bit off and the same gentleman who assisted me previously took them to the back and ended up melting the frame a bit. Now they fit well but looked crooked on my face so I only wear them at home. Wasted my money. (See the difference in images below) I’ve had great experiences at the other Chicago locations. Namely Logan Square and River North. However, this one missed the mark from beginning to the end. Hopefully, things improve because overall, I’m a supporter of Custom Eyes.

Loved my experience here. Dr. Katsevman was very kind and patient with me as I am not easy to deal with sometimes with all my questions. She was great and professional and made me feel at ease especially bc I'm an anxious patient. She has excellent bedside manner. Also, the staff at Custom Eyes was wonderful and had very pleasant attitudes! Sacora and Stephanie and the other lady were very friendly, kind and helped me pick out a pair of glasses. I was treated very well by everyone and will be back.

From the moment I called the store on Lasalle, I was greeted with a friendly and knowledgeable voice. I asked the person the phone if they could fit lenses into my Mykita glasses I had purchased in Los Angeles. She told that wouldn't be a problem but did tell me about signing a waiver, which I was fine with. When I got to the store, I was greeted by Stephanie, who had answered the phone and Leah, who helped me with getting my lenses. both were so nice, so much fun and a pleasure to work with. After I got everything worked out on my prescriptions, Leah suggested a few other frames for me to try. Needless to say I have a pair on hold already and will get them made into sunglasses. I wish all optical shops were this nice and fun to work with...and take my VSP insurance. I had a run in with another "luxury" optical shop in the area and they were not near as nice and not as easy to work with...and didn't take insurance on top of it. From now on I will get all my glasses at the Lasalle location. Thank you for taking the time to work with me and walk me through the process. It was a very fun visit and Leah and Stephanie are the best at what they do. Bravo!!!

Stephanie is back downtown! She is an amazing optician, optical stylist and solver. I have the coolest glasses at half the fee because Stephane also makes miracles from vision policies. Thanks again Stephanie!

Been going here for 10+ years. Always helpful and accommodating! Their store manager is amazing (she recently returned after being at another location).
