I had an outstanding experience at CVP Physicians Dayton and cannot recommend them highly enough. From the moment I arrived, everything about the visit was professional, efficient, and welcoming. A special thank you to Caleb Liles, DO and his awesome assistant Jessica. They worked together as a great team and truly exceeded my expectations during my eye exam and prescription appointment. Dr. Liles took the time to explain everything clearly, answered all of my questions, and made sure I was comfortable with every step of the process. Jessica was just as impressive. She was friendly, organized, and incredibly helpful throughout the entire visit. Their teamwork, attention to detail, and genuine care for patients made this one of the best medical experiences I have had. If you are looking for excellent eye care in the Dayton area, I highly recommend Dr. Liles and Jessica at CVP Physicians Dayton.

My experience with Dr. Altman was on the whole good. I read his resume and he is definitely experienced. The time with him however was very brief. He read my questions for me and answered them but I had no chance to follow up with additional ones. After waiting for him over a half hour I feel that I was rushed through with no time to ask further concerns I had especially since he threw a curve so to speak by telling me about the possibility of glacoma which was a shock to me!!! I had no idea about pressure in my eye whicheans possibly glaucoma or the cataract pressing on the cornea!! He needs to spend further time explaining this to me. I hope that on my appointment with him on August 19 he will take enough time to explain the results of all my tests!!!

The doctors we've seen here are kind and knowledgeable, but the wait time to get back into a room with a doctor is an absolute nightmare. We had a 9:20 appt this morning and didn't get seen by our doctor until 11:30. This happens every single time we go here. We get shuffled from waiting room to waiting room. This office is poorly run with zero time management skills. My mom is elderly and we just cannot spend this much time waiting to be seen. I wish our doctor would break free from this group and start his own private practice somewhere. I cannot wait until the day until we never have to come back to this place. I would not recommend it to anyone.

Absolutely the worst experience ever! Trying to make the initial appointment should have been the first red flag. My insurance company said they cover cataract surgery in or out of network. Just have them facility bill them. I explained that to the hard to understand person that answered the call center for the initial appointment. She said just show your insurance card when I checked in. The day comes. My husband and I took the day off for this 3 hour appointment. The lady checks me in. Copies my insurance card and ID. I asked if I would know for sure my insurance covered the procedure before the surgery day. My husband and I both heard her say “yes”. Do keep in mind I’m 48 and not hard of hearing. However I do have cataract in one eye. I had all the testing done and was alarmed when they mixed up my chart and said I was allergic to a medication I’ve never taken. Ok, accidents happen. Let’s move forward. After all the tests they take me in a room to pick out which new lens I want. This is before anyone even told me I had cataract. Then I meet up with the doctor and he’s retiring. Someone else will be doing the procedure. I go a few days later for the consultation with the surgeon. I checked in downstairs and they told me to head up stairs. I go upstairs and wait and wait. The receptionist never checked me in nor did she tell me to check in at the upstairs desk. I see the surgeon and was told the lady that schedules the surgeries is in a meeting she will call to schedule later in the week. I waited a week. Called and left a message. No call back. Left another message a week later. No call back. I finally get a call and the lady acted like I never left messages. I guess I imagined it. She said she would call me Tuesday after the holiday. Never called. I gave up. Finally weeks later the woman who was supposed to schedule me 5 weeks ago called and said there was no record of me talking to someone. I guess at this point I’m hallucinating. She schedules me. 4-5 different appointments because of follow ups after the procedure. She also said they had no record of my insurance. Well, my husband and I both watched the receptionist copy it. I give her my insurance. The next day I get a call from someone else. “We don’t associate with your insurance” then starts rambling on the breakdown of the procedure because I’m self pay. No. I’m not self pay. I pay over $10k in health insurance a year. The run around of them acting like they were billing my insurance was insane! Then a week later I get a text from them saying they have no record of my insurance. I’ve never seen such incompetence in my entire life! I wouldn’t let them pluck an eyelash if they paid me. Too lazy to bill my insurance. They treat mostly the elderly so I’m sure they are Medicaid and Medicare only. Just say that up front. Don’t give people the run around. Tell the patient up front you only deal with state funded insurance and a select few of independent companies.

Wish I would have read the reviews before I came. Wait was so long I couldn’t finish my appointment before needing to leave to pick up my children. Staff literally admitted that they overbook on Thursdays because of the extra doctors that are there even though they don’t have space to see them all. I had issues with scheduling for the first appointment and then again when I had to reschedule the appointment I couldn’t finish. The doctor seems very knowledgeable and competent which is a shame since I probably will have to find a different office. I just received a voicemail that they lost the releases of information I filled out and I need to come back in and fill out new ones. Definitely a lot of incompetence.
