Del Rey Optometry

I want to give a big shout out to SuperChris @DelReyOptometry in Playa Del Rey, my beloved beach town! Dr. Pennino is amazing, charming, beautiful, excellent and fun! In particular the guy I’ve recently renamed SuperChris is outstanding! He was being referred to as Chris2 and that just couldn’t stand in my eyes so now he’s SuperChris! He takes great pride in his precision and excellence. He enjoys his work, goes all in and takes delight in pleasing you! He goes beyond the call of duty for little specialized tasks that others might dismiss or refuse but could really be a huge help in the moment. He demands excellence from the lab regarding color shading on lenses, etc. I just love him and know I can depend on him to deliver the very best product possible in a timely manner! He had my latest glasses back in 6 days! The same glasses that previously took 2 months to deliver and still weren’t the right shade really. Both Chris’s are great! The rest of the staff is kind, helpful and friendly as well. If you desire a little beach time I must say Playa Del Rey can deliver outstanding food and many additional services like great optometry!

I was new in town a couple of years ago so I Yelped for an optometrist. The one I went to (Friedman’s) was expensive, small and jammed into a tiny store, had no available parking and took FOUR MONTHS to make my glasses. The optometrist was old and grumpy. When it was time for a re-examination, I had to try somewhere else, and apparently the Angel of Optometry took pity on me, I ended up at Del Rey Optometry. My experience was wonderfully different from the other place! Parking and access are a breeze. I felt relaxed and welcome from the get go, the optometrist was easygoing but very thorough and professional. I never felt rushed, and I think I got the most accurate refraction I’ve had in years. There was a decent selection of high quality frames but I was able to use my current frames and just buy new progressive lenses. I did, however, also buy a pair of single vision glasses for television and movie watching, and the technician was really helpfu with picking out the most appropriate frames. Pricing is not Walmart low, but is very fair. I do not think I could have had a better experience anywhere, unless I was a billionaire and the whole office came to my mansion for the exam lol. I am now a loyal Del Rey Optometry patient. I recommend them to ANYONE with working eyeballs who was not blessed with perfect vision!

Super friendly & efficient staff - who always welcome me back. They have the most advanced technology - & I've been going every year for the past 10 - so they can immediately project how & where my eyesight needs attention from their meticulous records. They work in conjunction with the Marina Del Rey office - so I am amazingly well covered! Thanks to all!

disappointed, been there twice wasnt happy with the glasses prescription and then they kinda said i had to get used to them. i have had glasses before but basically my eye sight didnt imporve much at all with them really, waste of $150 dollars really... used them but being as it didnt help what was the point then? just for them to make a quick buck etc... helpful enough but that cos they want to sell you glasses as fast as possible

I loved everyone that helped me today. All professional and so nice. I've been going to this place for over four years. I highly recommend.
