Discover Vision Centers - Kansas City North

After being out of state for over 7 yrs, it's like I haven't left. I've been fortunate enough to return to my previous medical, dental and vision providers. Dr. Butcher and the Discover Vision Center staff remain awesome, efficient, friendly, informative. Dr. Butcher still has a great sense of humor and you know he loves his job! He sees his patient's as individuals (vs. a number) and addresses their needs and vision history accordingly. We had a very thorough annual exam. It's nice to come back to awesome! See you next year!

Dr. Brundige and his nurse are very professional and very thorough. Courteous, gentle, and caring as well. Everyone from the front desk to the billing department is nice. I am not a football player nor married to a famous singer. But this office treats me like one. I wish they do root canal as well. It warms my heart to know that good people are still there. Bless!

Easy to find location. Staff is very friendly and helpful. My opthalmologist is Dr Randy Jackson...he is the best. He is warm, friendly, high energy, caring, encouraging, and thorough in his explanations. He zeroed in on my eye problem very quickly and set up a plan to heal it. His plan worked wonderfully well and I have my eyesight back. I feel blessed to have found him and highly recommend him.

Very customer-focused staff. The reception crew were patient and very helpful when I called for help getting to their facility (multiple blocked highway accesses because of a motorcade necessitated an on-the-fly re-routing by which I got myself lost). Arrived 20 minutes late for my appointment, but the flexibility & understanding of the medical staff allowed the appointment to be kept, for which I am most grateful. Explanations of what to expect for my procedure were careful, thorough, and easy to understand. Dr. Jackson clearly explained what I was experiencing at each step of the procedure. The surgical center support staff are a delight - polite, upbeat, professional, easy-going, and careful to explain what was happening as it was happening. Made the whole experience essentially stress-free.

I generally like discover vision, but I have to admit im pretty disappointed by the way their scheduling works. I pay 4000$ for lasik and im turned away for my follow up appt because im 10 mins late. Now I dont know what my new prescription is, and no clue when ill be able to take off work again to make it in since the business hours mirror my work schedule. I would think a little leeway would be reasonable, especially since I usually have to wait at least ten minutes past my appointment time to be seen. Rules for thee but not for me I guess. Unfortunate because until I had lasik I've been pretty happy. May need to seek another place that will take a few extra minutes to care for a patient. Side note I've still not been seen to verify if my eyes are even ok after having an expensive surgery on them. I feel like maybe thats important. Guess not
