Dowling Family Eye Care

Have been going to this eye doctor since she opened her practice. Reviews are spot on- the doctor is amazing. Unfortunately, you only see the doctor for the exam and the rest of the visit is with the staff. I have a three strike rule. It was obtained this year. A patient for years, I ended up with a foreign body in my eye. Called her office, quickly told she has no availability, call another office. Well, I did no one would see me because, guess what, I have an eye doctor. Two weeks with the object in my eye. Took some time but she did remove it. But 2 weeks later. Then 10 days we were told to receive new glasses. A month went by called the office, yup glasses there but not contacted by the staff. Third strike, she convinced me to replace the lenses in a my old frames and that her staff would only need them for 30 minutes. You guessed it- stopped in and no one could do it. So we have made the decision to go elsewhere. If I'm going to be treated like this in a small office, I would feel better being treated like that in a large eye care facility. I'm going to bet it wouldn't have taken 2 weeks to remove something from my eye. So disappointed.

The doctor is really nice and knowledgeable. The problem is with the rest of the office. The lady that does the contacts is terrible and was very nasty. She stated that she would call me back and never did. It is hard to get a hold of anyone if you call. You have to leave a message. I would not recommend anyone go there if you want a hassle. I’m still waiting for the contacts I ordered. Who knows if they even ordered because I never received an email that they were ordered. They took my money before they would order so that went smoothly for them of course.

I would not recommend this office at all. I went in for a routine exam for contacts and glasses, which the doctor seemed polite and knowledgeable. She tried me with an astigmatism contact lense for one of my eyes, which I had not had before. She stated if it was not something that felt comfortable, that it would not be a huge deal to change to a regular spherical lense. It has now been 3 months of calling their office (and being patient for call backs that never came) explaining that the astigmatism lense was not comfortable and did not work for me and to try and get a regular spherical lense. I had called on one occasion and the receptionist was so off-putting, she explained I had never called them to tell them what I didn’t like about the lense, (even though I had, I just must have spoken with someone else in the office that must not have relayed my concerns) and was so defensive when I had simply called for an update. I feel sad and discouraged by this situation as the facility seemed to have great reviews, but feel it is best to find another eye doctor and staff who will be able to help their patients and address their concerns.

I recently visited this eyeglass place and I must say, I was truly impressed with the service I received. The staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable, helping me pick out the perfect pair of glasses that suited my style and prescription needs. The process was quick and efficient, and I was amazed at how fast my glasses were ready for pick up. I highly recommend this place to anyone in need of new glasses or sunglasses. Five stars all around, I will definitely be returning for all my eyewear needs in the future. Thank you for the wonderful experience!

Dr. Dowling and her team are amazing, kind, and patient. We have been visiting her office for years. I recently scheduled all 4 of my children at the same time for their visits. She cared for each of my children individually and made them all feel comfortable. They made sure to not overbook appointments and gave us all of her attention at the time we scheduled. They patiently helped 2 of my children pick out their new glasses that they are excited to receive this week! Of course her pup is always a hit when we go in for our visit.
