I had an eye appointment here a few months ago and left feeling very disrespected. I asked a genuine question about whether any doctors affiliated with their office accept Medi-Cal, and instead of offering guidance or resources, I was told that Medi-Cal doesn't cover the procedure and was sarcastically advised to "go pick up a couple of shifts at McDonald's" to pay for surgery. As someone trying to take care of their health while managing financial hardship, I found this comment to be extremely rude and dismissive. Compassion and professionalism are basic expectations in healthcare, and unfortunately, I didn’t feel either during my visit.
