Dr Daniel Chin

Stay far, far away from this doctor. He is rude and aggressive and treated my child horribly. We went in so Dr Chin could take a look at my son's glasses because he was complaining that his head hurt and his glasses were very uncomfortable. Dr Chin was extremely rude. He raised his voice and told my child to stop moving so much and even asked if he moved around this much in school. I was so caught off guard that I didn't even respond to that. He told my child that he had no idea what he was complaining about because the glasses were perfectly fine and there was nothing he could do. The doctor just got up and said the glasses were fine. He didn't even have the decency to hand the glasses back to us even though we were 5 feet away from him in the exam room. He handed the glasses back to the receptionist and walked away. He behaved worse than my 3 year old with a tantrum. We took my son's glasses to a different optometrist and I won't pretend to know what they did, but sure enough they got my child a different lens and all was well. They even adjusted the frame a bit which Dr Chin also refused to even acknowledge. Fast forward about 6 months or so, and my wife called them just to get a copy of her prescription. I assure you we had no plans of using this clown and his services again. He took over the call and said I reported him to the insurance and he was no longer going to work with our family and hung up on my wife. Again, a 3 year old throwing a tantrum because he got reported. Like I said, stay far away!

Dr. Chin is respectful and professional. He puts the needs of his patients first. He had helped me adjust to wearing glasses and he did such a great job that I referred my grandmother to him and he took care of my grandmother and made sure she had a great pair of glasses.

Now With medi-cal, was very disappointed with Dr. Chin. Both my daughter and I had to go back twice to try to get our prescriptions corrected, as they were inaccurate. Many calls later, six months along, still no calls back from them. No corrected lenses, no follow-ups, no frames. Still using older lenses and warped frames. Very very disappointing. Returning to Dr. Bui !

Dr. Chin is thorough and professional and very open to answering questions and educating about eye health. His easy going manner allows one to feel comfortable to ask questions or express any concerns, making the overall experience very pleasant. The contact lenses and glasses I've ordered since 2020 have been perfect fits. His staff are also pleasant and professional.

My family has been seeing Dr. chin for many years. He does amazing work. His staff is so accommodating. He examines your eyes thoroughly, without rushing.
