Dr. Hendrix has been my optometrist for years, and I’m one of many patients who followed her practice from Walmart Vision Center to Destin Eyemart without hesitation. Dr. Hendrix is truly one in a million. She takes her time, explains everything thoroughly, and ensures you feel comfortable, informed, and genuinely heard during every visit. Her approach is both professional and personal — a rare balance. In a field where turnover is common, it’s incredibly reassuring to see that her team remains steady.

The worst experience. Unfriendly staff rude to customers and eye doctor did a horrible job. I had my eyes re-examined elsewhere just to find out they did not give me a correct prescription. Also would not release my contact prescription because I did not call them back before 30 days. Associate proceeded to say I would have to pay 50-60 dollars to get the prescription even though I already paid for my contact eye exam.

If you are traveling or local I highly recommend Dr. Rhonda for your eye care needs. We were traveling and in a pinch and we were able to be helped very quickly. They staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. We appreciate the wonderful experience and they 1000% saved the day. Thank you so much! You were very accommodating!

Ask about "Special Fitment" before you start your exam and think you'll pay your normal CoPay. First place I have done a contacts exam in over 10 years that charged an extra $105 for "special fitment". Which is funny, because I actually had to give Dr Hendrix my old prescription numbers, because she was trying to say I needed special contacts other than the contacts I have been wearing from day 1. While they are super nice to deal with, I don't agree with this charge and feel it was unprofessional to charge me for something I had to do myself by giving the Dr the numbers for the correct fitment.
