Friendly and knowledgeable. Dr. Ball is great and takes time to give indivualized care. There is no rushing, just genuine care. Also, Emerald Point has a great frame selection for every budget. The staff is generous with their time, and they are very helpful when it comes to choosing the right frame. It's a great place with great people. Highly recommend!!

Editing to add they won’t even fess to their mistake. They gave me astigmatism glasses and I don’t have an astigmatism. Don’t go here. Ever. The office staff is AWFUL. They have no idea how to read insurance. They don’t know how to read prescriptions and they will not tell you that you Eyeglass prescriptions and contact prescription are two different appointments or longer appointments. The redhead has a major attitude problem and doesn’t even know what their own phone system says, but she expects you to tell her how their phone system works. Unfortunately, she’s training the other girl who started out as quite lovely but has changed quickly. I was having issues with my eyeglasses and they had the audacity to ask me if my coworkers had the same equipment that the optometrist has and that’s how I would know if there was a problem with my eyeglasses. Went to a different eye doctor, and they confirmed that the eyeglasses Emerald gave me are completely screwed up. Lens Shape, prescription, frame for my face etc, are completely wrong. The doctor is actually really great, but the office staff is a detriment to his entire practice. Don’t go here. Ever.

First time going to Dr Ball. He and his staff we're kind and put me at total ease. He was able to clarify and give more detail to questions I've asked my past Doctor. They were incredibly patient with helping me choose my frames. I was hesitant to check theirs out because I thought nobody could beat Costco's selection. Their selection was actually better and more fine-tuned. I also liked that they handled the insurance themselves and gave me a running tally of what my insurance would cover. I definitely will be going back and I will refer other people!

I recommend this eye center to absolutely everyone who appreciates caring, personal service and a fun, efficient environment. Dr. Ball is the best, most knowledgeable doc in Boise, and will always get you where your vision needs to be. Rebecca knows glasses better than anyone, and how to make you look great in them! Love this place!
