Eye Appeal Optometry

First, I would like to say I was very satisfied in terms of my eye exam. I am not happy that they do not stand behind their products. I had an eye exam and was prescribed progressive lenses. I paid for all the upgrades and got the “top of the line”. The nurse (salesman?) told me this was the only way to go, and far superior to anywhere like Costco. I had the hardest time adjusting to the lenses, to the point that I had to take them off to read instead of using them as intended. Finally, after way too many months of trying to live with them, I asked the front desk nurse to take a look while I was in the office for my son’s eye exam. The new nurse, a very lovely woman, did some measurement of my eyes on the glasses and said that the lenses were not in the correct place on the glasses, which is why I was having such a hard time seeing. However, because it had been several months, I was informed I would have to purchase new lenses at full price. This error had nothing to do with me and yet they would still not stand behind their product, or hold accountable the company who mis-manufactured them. Had I come in earlier or later, the problem was still the same. So, while I really like the doctor, it will be a hard pill to swallow for me to return.

The two stars are for the nice staff and the knowledgeable and expeditious doctor -they’re good. The remaining lack of stars are for the horrible hours and random closures. Want to go before work? Sorry we open at 10. Want to go after work? Nope. We close at 4. Want to go during lunch then? No, we’re closed at lunch. Come in on Thursday maybe? No thanks, we’re closed. I was told Monday via phone my contacts were ready then went to pick them up the next day and they are closed Tuesday-Thursday to “study” and posted an utterly confusing sign (hard to tell when/if they are there this week) on the door about it. 3 out of 5 days of the week - gone. Nobody mentioned that to me when they told me my contacts were ready, so I wasted time for what has to be the 10th time trying to get there when they’re actually open. Despite liking the doctor and team, this just isn’t worth it anymore.

Dr. Oishi and the staff were great. Very knowledgeable, kind, and efficient but did not make me feel rushed. I appreciate the transparency of everything they explained during the exam and while purchasing contacts/frames. Would definitely recommend.

This was my 1st time for this visit and I must say my experience was fantastic. Dr. Oishi was so detailed with the information and recommendations provided. There was so much details to the examination as well as getting the frames and the extra measures that was given to make sure the frames I purchased is the correct fit. So friendly and I was very pleased.

Came in for an eye exam and it went really well. Fast appointment, clean and nice facility, and employees were very helpful and very friendly. Especially Ash she was very helpful and made sure I understood everything that I needed to know!
