Awesome place for children. Dr is SO wonderful with kids. Some clients have been going there for about 10yrs. Our granddaughter has been going there since she was one yr old & she's now three. Waits at the office can be very long (couple of hours), plus they put the eye drops in & have to wait for the dilation, etc., but it's a great facility with movies for kids (just bring plenty of drinks, snacks & activities to keep them comfortable).

Horrible. Don't waste your time. Arrived at 8:15am for an 8:30am appointment. Had an appt at the same time as my family member (for a different provider but same office). Family member is on oxygen - which we mentioned a couple times that his battery was going to run out. We brought a battery which usually lasts 2.5 hours but did not think we would be cutting it that close. Waited til 9am to be called back. They dilated my eyes and then put me back in the waiting room around 9:20am and was told they would call me back when the DR was ready. Called me back about 25 mins later and was told I was next.. Meanwhile, my family member was finished with his exam before I was even called back to be examined. Told the lady as she brought me back that his oxygen was running low and she said I was next. Waited another 25 mins - no doctor in sight. I walked out !! Receptionist said she would check and see how long it would be. No thanks! 2 hours for a routine eye exam? I understand offices are busy but 2 hrs is absolutely ridiculous. Others in the waiting room also mentioned how long it was taking, and that they would not be returning. Just don't waste your time. Will not be returning here and will definitely not recommend this office to anyone!!
Great staff, very little waiting time, exceptionally thorough Dr. Very happy with this practice. I recently moved to this area and Dr. Holmwood found and corrected the issue with my vision I had been complaining of for several years with my previous practice on my first visit here. I am very happy here.
I've been a paient of Dr. Montesanti for many years and I have always been satisfied with his care, concern and good medical advise. I give him 5 stars and highly recommend him as an excellent ophthalmologist.
Overall the staff here is great. My main issue is the process for contact lenses. I understand NY state requires an annual contact lens fitting and that's something they can't avoid. The problem is that you need a completely separate appointment for this fitting and its only Mondays and Thursdays which is very difficult for those of us that work. Every other office I've gone to will just include that in your already scheduled yearly exam. Or if it needs to be separate at least make it so it can be done immediately after your appointment. Very frustrating to have to make another drive back. I hope this is something they can look into otherwise I will likely switch because it is that much of a hassle.
