I can't agree with all these negative reviews. Seems most of them are regarding wait time. I've been going here for over 10 years A former patient of doctor Niles. I now see doctor Chaudhri for my glaucoma and he is a very good doctor. He's very thorough and takes his time and answers all questions. Yes, I was there almost four hours on my first visit. Yes it is a long time. But the time he spends with you is worth it. I also found the receptionists and technical staff to be very friendly and efficient. I had a problem with eye drops and it did take a day to get back to me after calling twice. But I did end up getting good satisfactory advice coming straight from the doctor. If the wait time is most concerning for all the patients on here with negative reviews, you can go to another practice. But you're not going to get that amount of time and care spent with you.

My main complaint for this practice is the wait time. I had a 6 month follow up appointment at 8:30 am. I did not leave the building until 11,20 am. Almost a 3 hour office visit for a quick 6 month follow up. I feel the wait time is unreasonable and disrespectful of everyone’s time. Every appointment I have had with them is a wait time of about 3 hours and some appointments even longer. I decided today that I would finally speak up and say something. Hopefully someone within the practice will address this concern. I know that I am not the only one who has experienced this since everyone in the waiting room has apparently been having a long wait time as well and voicing their concerns out loud and becoming inpatient and disgruntled.
My mother and I started going to Dr. Niles years ago for our glaucoma care because he was referred as a wonderful, knowledgable and helpful doctor in this field, and he was. He has since retired and the office is not the same. We intentionally schedule our appointments to be the 1st in the morning 7:45 and 8:00am. Unfortunately time is not of importance to this office now hes gone, we were finally finished at 10:50am Then I was poorly treated by the office staff when I politely asked what room my mother was in when I was done with my appointment. One secretary never looked up from her computer and with a "short response," said "she has no idea". I was taken aback. Then the other secretary, that I stepped over too, stated "she was not there for that", again never looking up from her computer. Luckily another women in the office saw the look on my face and came running over to direct me to a very helpful technician that took me to my mother, who had been sitting in a second waiting room. As I sat with my mother I stewed over the office personal behavior. My mother was not taken in to see the attending doctor until 10:10am. I felt the need to mention to him the office behavior and lack of timeliness regarding our appointment. I will say the doctor was very thorough, however unappologetic regarding our time spent waiting. Important to note - Front of the house behavior is key to a good business model - and if covid has taught us anything it did show doctors how to be timely. NOT a good choice!
I had a stye that wouldn't go away for several months no matter what I tried. Came here to have it checked out by an ophthalmologist. I specificly stated that I did not need my vision examined, as I had that done a few months prior. I was taken to an exam room & given eye drops, then left in the waiting room for almost an hour before the ophthalmologist saw me. She gave me a vision exam despite me explaining that I didnt need one. After telling me my results (which I already knew from the prior exam), she asked if I had any questions. I asked about the stye & she finally took a look at it for a few seconds before saying "Yeah that's definitely a stye." She then told me to keep a warm compress on it for 10 min at a time throughout the day & it would eventually go away on its own. I mentioned that that was exactly what I had been doing the past several months to no avail, & she simply said it takes a while sometimes. That was October. It's currently June & the stye hasn't budged. On top of this, months after my appointment, OCLI began sending me bills in the mail stating I owe them $15. My appointment was covered by insurance & I paid my co-pay at the office prior to my visit. Not sure what I could possibly owe them money for, especially considering they were of no help whatsoever!
If I could give them zero stars, I would. The staff is friendly, but the customer service is crazy. I had a test done in APRIL!! I've called at least 5X to have them faxed to the surgeon. I am placed on hold to a service who will then reach out to the office and have them faxed. Nope!! Now going on a month and the dr. still hasn't received the results. So frustrated. I guess I have to go there personally to do something that should have been easy!!!
