My optometrist referred me to Dr. Jonathan Primack for cataract surgery. I found Dr. Primack to be a caring perfectionist. He spends as much time with each patient as needed by the patient. Not only does he measure the eyes for the lens replacements using the equipment but checks and double checks the measurements manually to make sure he has the correct measurements for the person’s eyes. As a scientist, I was impressed by Dr. Primack’s attention to details. Dr. Primack continued that attention to details during the surgery, handling each phase of the surgery himself, answering questions and making sure the operation went smoothly. As a result, I can see clearly now. I enjoy being able to read my phone and computer without glasses as well as having sharper vision, being able to read street and other signs that previously were blurred. I highly recommend Dr. Primack.

Eye Consultants of Pennsylvania have been a critical part of my diabetic eye care. The staff are well trained and great at keeping you feeling calm in cases of eye emergencies. They are usually quite quick at the three part appointment my eyes require. Occasionally they run behind, but there are times I have been that emergency patient that no doubt messes with the schedule. I always hope the patient who was unexpected that day is okay, and for that day, I am grateful that I have the luxury of being the regularly scheduled patient. My vision has vastly improved in their care.
Had an amazing experience at this office. The staff were polite and helpful. My doctor - Dr. Shah went out of his way to make sure I had the correct lens for my cataract surgery. The surgery center is well run. It was the easiest medical procedure I ever had and afterwards I could see!! To amazing for words! Thank you!! There was a small snafu with the billing that they fixed. Otherwise everything was beyond my expectation.
Brought my wife in for a procedure, arrived 30 minutes early for her appt. We were taken back at the time of her appt for "triage". Upon completing that step of the appointment we were instructed to wait in another waiting room for the Dr. We waited for over an hour and a half, when we ask how much longer until my wife would be seen the "professional" whom I sure is not a nurse was extremely rude in telling us that we would still have to wait, not answering our question. We are very understanding that things happen and schedules push but the lack of communication and accommodation was bothersome for the Healthcare field. Pushing schedules over an hour and a half is slightly unacceptable and excessive. Was not a great experience overall, underwhelming customer service and terrible communication.
This office demonstrates explicit bias for elderly people. Stating they do not have “time” to treat elderly patients because they take to long. A 3pm appointment could not be scheduled for an emergency situation because Kaily stated that Dr Barrett and Dr Gierginger leave at 5 pm and are not willing to stay even 15 minutes late to see my 93 year old grandmother who has memory problems due to her “taking to long”. I am appalled and disappointed and their lack of empathy and compassion for the patient population in the reading PA area. I will absolutely not support a business with these poor values. To be clear, this was all communicated to us through Kaily who was snappy, condescending and unkind. I do not recommend.
