On June 4th, 2026 around 10:15 AM I went to Costco Optical department to order my contact lenses, the service was horrendous. BRYAN was the most horrible employee I have ever met. He sat down in front of his computer doing nothing. Even though I signed in, when it was my turn, he didn’t even come to help. I went to him to ask him how long it’ll take? He flatly said “ I have to wait for awhile” with an attitude. I ended up leaving, because I refused to be treated with such disrespect while bringing you business. I went to BJ’s where I received exceptional service. My point is, BELIEVE THE BAD REVIEWS! I would never return nor recommend Costco Optical to anyone. BRYAN need to find himself another job. I know if that was my company, to have an employee like Bryan treated customers in such unpleasant way, he would’ve been fired on the spot. The bad reviews are real, base on my own experienced.

Costco is typically known for great customer service, however, the optical division seems to operate under different standards. It has been like pulling teeth to schedule an appointment. Several calls were simply picked up and disconnected right away, after 6 attempts a person finally decides to pick up the phone. I was routed to the doctors office to schedule an appointment, voicemails don't get returned and after the 3rd attempt I just get placed on hold with no voicemail to leave. I'm on my 10th call and still haven't gotten an appointment scheduled. Will be moving on, hopefully corporate steps in soon to get this department in shape.

I had to post a sincere thank you to Bri at Costco Optical for being so kind and helpful to me. I’m here from out of town and needed help getting new contact lenses. Even with a busy lineup of people, Bri provided the very best service I could have hoped for. Please give Bri a huge holiday bonus, I wish there were more people in the world like her. You rock, Bri.

The glasses saleswoman who served us was simply the epitome of unpleasantness. This woman seriously needs help. A new job, or something personal she must be going through, to make such an effort to treat people that way. I left with my son and wife without complaining in person because I don't know what she would be capable of.
