I wish I had shopped Costco Optical back when they opened in Issaquah in 2015. I assumed my insurance was a better deal than Costco. WRONG! I finally made the leap in 2024. Mind blown! Better prices, awesome Customer Service and a quicker turn-around. Recently I went in for new everyday glasses and a new pair for computing. Paul was super friendly and helpful. He asked me if I might be interested in multi‑functional lenses for my computer glasses. I stared at Paul blankly. He explained they are designed to handle more than just one type of vision correction in a single lens. They combine features to give you clear vision at multiple distances — typically near, intermediate, and far — in one prescription. I assumed they would be more expensive but were actually cheaper than my progressives by $60! Both pairs of glasses cost me $325.96. (They have a deal if you buy 2 pair, you get $50 off the second pair.) After picking them up, I needed to have them adjusted. Kathie was awesome by making my progressives fit lower on my nose and loosened up the temples on my computer glasses so they weren't so tight on my, uh, temples. She was engaging and patient as I asked her to make adjustments twice on both pairs. But she got them dialed in perfectly. What a great experience! They take some insurance plans and if not yours, it's still a screaming deal.

I want to start by saying the actual ease of getting an eye exam at Costco (Issaquah) is great and the doctor is really awesome. But the Emerald Eye Care admin staff is honestly horrible to work with. Literally do not lose your printed prescription because I've called for two days in a row to ask for them to email me my prescription (which we should've received by now) and they need 48 HOURS TO EMAIL ME MY RECORDS. Like you just have to email them...In this day and age, that is insane honestly. And they can't even stick to and guarantee delivery within their own SLAs.

Had a great experience there with both Malik during the consult and Megan when I picked them up. Easy enough process, especially if you go at an off peak hour. Would return to Costco to purchase glasses again.

We went to this place to buy some contact lens and picked up a number. There are only a handful of customers. The current number they were serving was 87. After waiting for 10 minutes, the number never moved. Some employees there are helping customers for so long while others are just chatting with each other. We went to shopping first and after 30 minutes, the number still showed as 87. I don't know if they are even trying to do business. At least offering an option for customers who are TRYING TO BUY something.

Very busy department that does sometimes have longer wait times but the customer service and attention when it is your turn is lovely....and probably why wait times are long. The person helping me took her time to help me find the right pair of frames and talk me through the process. I never felt rushed. Glasses took a couple weeks to arrive and easy to pick up. Will definitely go again.
