Extremely disappointed with Short Hills Ophthalmology Group's Clifton location. From the start, this place felt shady. Staff repeatedly pushed services we explicitly said we didn't need or want, claiming they "weren't allowed" to do otherwise, something no other eye care group we've been to has ever claimed. Every other practice we've visited has offered better prices and more straightforward service. $300 for contact lenses is outrageous on its own, but when the lenses didn't even work, they wanted us to redo the entire fitting process, at additional cost, rather than making it right the first time. When we asked for a refund, they refused to give a full refund even though we never actually received a usable end product, only agreeing to a partial refund. Getting anyone to actually address this over the phone was its own ordeal, I left my number multiple times and they ignored it, then instead called the underage patient directly rather than the contact number I provided. I'm still waiting on the partial refund they promised. I'll update this review if it actually comes through, but the whole experience, the upselling, the pricing, the runaround on the refund, and how they handled communication, has been a mess from start to finish.
