Horrible service… great doctors. I’ve been going here several years strictly due to the excellent doctors but not sure if I’ll continue moving forward due to the staff. I’ve need authorization for a specific medication from my Rheumatologist since May 15th. This medication is crucial to aid with my current symptoms. I’ve called weekly and then started almost daily. Left text messages when they don’t answer and send me a text replying with a text. Left a message for the office manager on her voicemail. I have even had a friend that had an appointment speak on my behalf with no reply. Extremely frustrating.

My eyes have been opened (pun intended) 😂 just wanted to give a huge shout out to the Eye Florida staff and doctors, Dr. Sakumoto and Dr. Pedro, their attention to detail, effective communication, easy explanation in addressing all of my concerns, the inviting attitudes of wanting to help is definitely unseen in the patient Dr relationship that’s unheard of which happens way to often in the medical industry, can’t forget the front desk which were quick efficient and always have smiles I believe her name was Millie and the other female was super star, don’t remember her name, just overall kudos, keep up the fantastic work team Eye Florida, Eye wish you all a bright future, the Lord Jesus Christ protect and keep you all Bless 🙏

Despite asking, eye Florida to give me an upfront estimates before service, they keep refusing to do so and running unnecessary exams on my eyes, then sticking me with bills I can't afford. I spoke to the lady in the billing department one-on-one and explained I need to know estimate cost before the service. I showed up they took my copay. I asked at every test whether this was covered. All the techs said no notes of payment is on your chart. Guess what, a surprise bill just showed up, not showing my copay I paid ,but all fraudulent, ramped up unnecessary testing for financial gains. Patient care is out the door. Eye Florida is all about show me the MONEY! Cancel all future appointments. I can't afford to be ripped off anymore. 👎👎👎 RUN FOR YOUR Lives.

This is the worst practice I have ever been to. I have a referral from a neurologist to see ophthalmologist. They told me I need a prior authorization from my primary care doctor. I called my insurance company and they said I do not need that and it’s an office policy. They would not see me because I did not have a prior authorization for my primary care doctor, even though, I have a referral from a neurologist to see an ophthalmologist. What an absolute joke. This is not a complaint about the insurance company. Actually, it’s a complaint about the incompetence and terrible policy of office.

Pedro, the techs and the front desk were all friendly and helpful for my first time going to an eye doctor. I knew I needed a new prescription but they figured out what I needed quickly and I’m super thankful!
