Excellent Cataract Surgery Experience Five years ago, my eye doctor told me that I was in the early stages of developing cataracts. This year, I noticed that my vision was no longer clear, even with my glasses, and increasing my prescription was no longer helping. After speaking with my primary care physician, I was referred to Dr. Rashidi. I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly I was able to get an appointment compared with other specialty referrals I have experienced in the past. During my consultation, Dr. Rashidi thoroughly explained my cataracts, the surgical procedure, and the different lens options available to me. I could have chosen the standard lens replacement, which would have improved my vision by removing the cataracts but would not have eliminated my need for glasses. Instead, Dr. Rashidi explained two enhanced lens options that had the potential to reduce—and potentially eliminate significantly—my dependence on glasses, particularly for distance vision. These options came with a high additional cost, so I spent quite a bit of time thinking about what made the most sense for me and my lifestyle. What I appreciated most about Dr. Rashidi was that I never felt pressured to make a decision. He clearly explained my choices, answered my questions, and gave me the time I needed to decide. I also want to give special recognition to Kate, Dr. Rashidi's surgery scheduler. I probably wasn't the easiest patient to work with because I went back and forth several times trying to decide which lens option was right for me. I had numerous questions and made several phone calls, but Kate was always patient, knowledgeable, and happy to help. She took the time to explain the different options and never made me feel like I was being a nuisance. She was also able to schedule my surgeries within just a few weeks of my initial consultation. Both surgeries went extremely well, with no complications. I am currently healing and looking forward to the final results as my vision continues to improve and is fine-tuned. I also did a cost-benefit analysis before making my decision. While the enhanced lenses were a significant investment, I believe the long-term savings from no longer needing prescription glasses and prescription sunglasses will help offset the additional cost over the next few years. More importantly, the potential improvement in my quality of life made the investment worthwhile for me. Overall, I highly recommend Dr. Rashidi and Kate to anyone considering cataract surgery. Dr. Rashidi is knowledgeable, thorough, and patient, and Kate provides exceptional support throughout the process. I am very happy with my experience so far and am excited to see the final results.

I wanted to share my experience from my recent appointment. I waited over two hours to be seen, which I understand can happen in a busy office. However, neither the doctor (Dr. Kira) nor the office staff acknowledged the delay. When I raised my concerns, I felt both the doctor and office manager (Jennie) were dismissive and unapologetic —Jennie was especially rude. The doctor also seemed visibly frustrated or angry when he saw me, which added to the discomfort. It seems the office is overbooking patients, which creates long waits and a stressful experience for those who need care. As a patient, I value not only medical care but also respect and courtesy during a visit. This experience left me feeling disrespected and disappointed. I hope this feedback is taken seriously, as patient trust and communication are essential to quality care.
I cannot say thank you enough to the staff and Dr. Jones for their professional service. Leah the receptionist got me a same day appointment and she was very kind and professional. I could tell that she was genuinely trying to help. Ashley the assistant was also professional and kind. Dr. Jones was very competent and explained things clearly to me. I left with a feel
One hour wait after appointment, then another hour wait sitting somewhere else after being called. Be aware
Prior customer. Moved on after realizing how much better the customer service is elsewhere. These guys don’t even answer the phone, return voicemails, or answer emails. Okay docs: Sutter providers…but no incentive to help patients with any urgency at all. (Frankly an AI bot would be more helpful and proactive than the humans working the front desk). Key challenges: no response to emails or voicemails. Never answers phone. Thanks for reading.
