I’ve been to more eye doctors than I’d like thanks to moving and changing insurance over the years, so I feel like I have a pretty good basis for comparison. EyeCare Associates is one of the best experiences I’ve had. Scheduling was easy, and I was able to get an appointment without waiting forever. Before my visit, they offered several ways to confirm my appointment and complete paperwork (text, email, or phone), and you can even check in online if you want. I appreciated that the digital options were available without feeling required—I simply confirmed my appointment ahead of time, arrived 15 minutes early, and everything else was quick and straightforward. I saw Dr. Burton, and he struck a great balance of being knowledgeable, professional, and genuinely easy to talk to. He adjusted his explanations based on what I already knew instead of giving me a scripted speech, but he also made it clear there was plenty of time for questions. At no point did I feel pressured into anything. I declined dilation unless he felt it became medically necessary during the exam, and that was completely respected. The office also offers retinal imaging as an option, which I appreciated having available. As someone with a strong prescription, I also noticed several thoughtful touches from the staff. They frequently reminded me to put my glasses back on so I could actually see and make eye contact between tests, and they only had me remove my contacts when it was necessary. The optical staff was equally impressive. I was given plenty of time to browse frames on my own before asking for feedback. Instead of pushing expensive options or offering unsolicited opinions, she listened to how I actually wear my glasses and found less expensive frames that matched exactly what I was looking for. She also explained my insurance, lens choices, and pricing line by line without trying to upsell features I didn’t need. I left feeling informed instead of sold to. It felt personalized and unrushed. The free Wi-Fi made it easy to send photos of frames to my husband while I was deciding, and they offer free home shipping on contact lenses. Overall, every interaction felt personalized rather than scripted. If you’re looking for an eye doctor in the area, I’d absolutely recommend EyeCare Associates.

How is this place still in business? I decided to try them again this year for my glasses because they do have a good frame selection but shocker, their customer service has not improved. In fact, it has become even more horrendous. Last year I used my warranty for scratched lenses and followed up several times for almost two months only to find that they were never sent in for repair. This year my daughter and I went in for our exams. We both had back to back appointments. My daughter waited almost an hour before being called back and watched numerous walk ins get called back before her. The techs look completely miserable and are not friendly at all. Icing on the cake…..This morning I received a call to let me know that my daughters contacts had never been ordered….. our appointment was almost a month ago. She leaves to study abroad in a few days and really could have used her updated contacts. Avoid at all costs…. Terrible customer service, terrible communication, their patient portal doesn’t work…. This place is a joke! Update; they did overnight my daughter’s contacts so that was nice! I think they’re aware of the issues they have and are trying to remedy.
I love my glasses. I did not know how much I was missing seeing with my readers. My doctor was super helpful and professional. I felt I got a very thorough eye exam and everyone was very nice and helpful..My glasses are comfortable and super cute . 🥰
I like my doctor, but the practice is poorly managed. Has been for over a year. They have tech that seems to intentionally try to piss off the customers. Too many emails and texts and then the checkin stuff never works. Makes you wonder if anyone bothered to test on themselves. Like I said, I like my doctor but not enough to stick around. Plenty of other eye docs in LS. And Warby Parker makes buying glasses easy.
Dr. Foster is THE BEST!! Having horrible vision my whole life, going to a yearly eye exam is not my favorite thing. However, Dr. Foster makes my eye appts fun. She always makes me laugh and I don’t dread going for my yearly exam!! I’ve decided-she’s not allowed to ever retire lol! She’s my fave!!
