I have come here FOR YEARS along with my two kids. I called in a month ago to order more contacts and was told my prescription expired in March. So I couldn't order contacts. I scheduled an eye exam for August 18th. Then they called me because they had an opening for July 17th, great! I took it. Then they called me July 9th to inform me my insurance changed and will only cover eye exam every 2 years so I would need to pay for my exam out of pocket. Well I'm about to leave for Vaca and that wasn't an option. So we hung up, then they called me the following day to inform me that I could order contacts and insurance would pay for $100 of it and I would only need to pay $50. Okay great! I told them I was working and would call them back. Then because I got busy with work, I forgot to call back til Monday. So I called in and was told sorry, too late. WHAT?!? You guys were doing me a "favor" because my prescription had actually expired July 9th and you were extending it to July 10th as a favor. This is when it dawned on me, wait I was told a month ago when I called to order contacts that my prescription was expired then?? So someone on YOUR STAFF messed up or you guys just say prescriptions expired wherever you feel like it, which is it?? Regardless, after coming there for well over a decade, myself and my 2 kids, I am done. I haven't said a word through the years with the changing staff and not friendly new ones but this situation is completely ridiculous and we will no longer be coming or recommending you. I own that I got busy Friday and forgot to call back however if the gal I spoke to a month ago would have done her job correctly, my contacts would have been ordered then and we never would have went through all this nonsense!! So now I have to leave the state with no extra contacts which I hate doing because you never know when you might lose one or have a problem with one. Thanks a lot. 7/16 Response to Doc. That's all great for your future customers but definitely does not help me or make my situation right.

Dr. Lauffenburger and her team are always amazing. My kids and I have been seeing her for a long time. I’m legally blind so have a lot of experience with various eye doctors throughout my life. It doesn’t get any better than Dr. Lauffenburger. I can’t recommend her and her team enough. We’ve moved almost an hour away, but still continue to go to Wooster for our eye appointments. It’s more than worth it for our family.
Best eye doctor around my whole family goes here. Makes you feel like family
My family has been going here for years. The Dr and most staff are very personable. They've helped with after hours issues when my husband had metal in his eye. The Dr. Has checked up up my husband while he was battling cancer. She has been very good with the girls before, and especially after my husbands passing. Takes her time and talks to each girl and includes them in their health. Teaches them tricks to help them remember how to take care of their glasses, especially since I now have a new ones in glasses. Dr. Has even bought livestock at the fair one year to hep out my daughter. Cindy is awesome with helping you pick out glasses. I picked it something i never would've on my own and I absolutely love them. I highly recommend this office. My loyalty is with them.
This office is wonderful and amazing. They worked great with my kids, including my Autistic son. They were able to explain the entire process, step by step and his anxiety levels were super low. They did a great job with the exam process for both of my kids and were patient and kind. Just a wonderful experience and we will continue to go to them! I'm so glad we switched to them from our old doctors, who pale in comparison.
