Focus Vision Optometry

I dont leave bad reviews, so this is a first. I'm really frustrated with this location. There have been several mix ups with my contact prescription, my first and only exam at this location was nearly a 4hr process. I went back to the location after my exam to solidfy my contact perscription and was treated as a nuisance by staff.. The tech I spoke informed me they had made a special order for me, it was going to get delivered (news to me), and they would call when it arrived. Again, this was a shock because it was the first I had heard of it. Its been nearly 2 months and I have called close to 30 times at this point to check in on that "order" and I only reach an answering service. I leave repeated voicemails with call back info but get No call back. I call into the 2nd st. Location and immediatly get helped everytime. I'm not going to completely loose faith in the "Focus Vision" company yet but I have lost trust in this location.

After visiting several other Focus Vision Offices, and being extremely disappointed in the service, office environment and rudeness of staff, I was hesitant to visit the Sundance office. But what a surprise!! The office is clean, beautiful, and the staff are VERY nice, courteous, professional and knowledgeable!! I arrived before my scheduled appointment time, and I was taken right back to begin the exam. The tech and optometrist were very kind and helpful, and I was finished very quickly. I ordered two new pair of glasses and frames, one being sunglasses and both being progressive lenses. Both arrived in a timely manner and the lenses are perfect! I am extremely happy with the service, selection and professionalism of the Sundance Focus Vision office.

FOCUS VISION OPTOMETRY is our keeper!!! Due to my daughter being in a wheelchair, it was difficult finding an Optometrist to accommodate her. Dr. Vanguilder is excellent and her staff are phenomenal. Thank you, ALL. You’re simply the BEST!!!

I went to the Moreno Valley location. Staff was nice but my complaint is after my exam was over and I had to pick frames they hardly had any at all. The last place I went to had a numerous amount that was covered by my insurance but sadly they stopped taking my insurance so I was sent here. I’ve always had two sets of glasses one for distance one for reading first the girl tells me she has to get “an approval” for the second pair. I’ve been getting two pairs for the last 15 yrs insurance hasn’t changed. Then she says my insurance won’t cover transitional glasses WRONG they’ve covered them any other time. I’m also required to wear sunglasses anytime I’m outside so I probably will contact my insurance once this next appt is over and see what other ophthalmologist I can go to.

I would not recommend this clinic! After telling me that they did not accept Blue Shield insurance, they told me it would be 160 for an eye exam, I agreed and prepared to pay. However, right before I was about to pay, they told me it would be $500 extra for using a card! So they were going to charge me $660 for an eye exam! As a young college student, I would never pay this much just for a 15 minute or so exam. This happened around 3 pm on 3/18/26. I recommend America’s Best which does accept private insurance and has excellent sales on the frames and eye exams. I would not return even if I did have medi-cal. ) : They also acted dismissive towards me after hearing I didn’t have medi-cal.
