Local shop with professional staff. Eye exam is thorough with everything explained until I understood the results. Picking out new glasses was great, good choices without too many. Jenn is so helpful, going the extra mile to find the style AND the color I wanted, I did not have to settle. Very positive vibes.

All members of the team provide exceptional customer service - from thorough exams in which I feel very empowered to ask all questions I need to be sure I'm getting what I need - to the people helping me order contacts making sure I'm getting the best possible perks/rewards, etc. - I love this business! Hands down the best experience I have ever had seeing the eye doctor. Moving soon, but will plan to commute back to Porter Square at least yearly to see the wonderful team at General Optical Co. Truly a special place.
Crystal Klaahsen, the optometrist in charge, is exceedingly good at her profession and a delightful human being. This level of quality pervades the entire staff and way of doing business at General Optical. Service is personal, accurate, attentive. No better place to go.
Dr. Klaahsen was wonderful! She took time to explain everything during the eye exam. In fact all the staff were helping and welcoming. Will definitely go again for an yearly checkup.
