Decided to go with Global Lasik based on strong reviews. off the bat, the Huntington Beach location (where surgery takes place) was clean, organized, and the equipment was noticeably more up to date compared to other clinics I had visited for consultations. Strong first impression. Staff is great and set the tone strong. The front desk team navigated my complicated FSA situation. They were flexible and genuinely helpful. The medical assistant, Jay, deserves a specific callout, as he was articulate and thorough from pre-op all the way through post-op questions. It felt personal rather than transactional. They're also structured with mapped out follow-up plans. Dr. Melikian's consultation was engaging and attentive. He flagged tissue scarring that had been noted at a prior eye exam, explained it clearly, confirming I was still an excellent LASIK candidate. What gave me even more confidence was that I independently followed up with a retina specialist afterward and his assessment aligned perfectly with Dr. Melikian. Going into surgery day, I'll admit I wasn't sure how I felt about having a separate surgeon (Dr. Youssef) from my consulting physician. Two different doctors felt like two different expectations. I was also bracing for something out of a horror movie. The reality felt like a Disney princess movie, calm, safe, and over before I knew it. Dr. Youssef's confidence alone is reassuring and combined with the sedatives, the whole procedure was pretty much effortless. I even came in with a chronic cough that day and it was a complete non-issue. Post-op at the Pasadena location matched the same energy, clean, organized, and welcoming. Vision is still in the early blurry stages, but given that it's only been two days post-op, the dryness and inflammation are completely normal. We all recover differently, so for now, I'm grounded and reassured. I will be updating this review as recovery progresses and the FSA process wraps up. Stay tuned.

This clinic is amazing! I recently did my Lasik eye surgery as a 19 year old who has had long distance vision problems since middle school. I was worried about the process and post care, but the team and doctor were wonderful. They explained everything in detail and were extremely patient with my questions. The staff are respectful and kind, and Dr. Bavand was welcoming and supportive during the surgery. I recommend this center to anyone seeking better vision!
Got PRK done in 2020 and it’s hands down the best investment I could’ve done for myself. I have my annual check ups and every year I confidently read that board with 20/20 on both eyes. No more hassle for contacts or lenses! Process was easy and everyone here is always super friendly.
All staff are knowledgeable, helpful, and efficient. They are often busy when they open, so I recommend later appointments if that works for you. Lasik surgery was worth it, ask for discounts!
I found global lasik on google when I looked it up. Make an appointment. Letting them know I wanted to see what I need to not ware glasses any more. As I been using them for 13 years. I asked if I can take care of this by doing lasik. They said yes but might need glasses to read. I was a little hesitant of doing that if I still needed to wear glasses. So they called the doctor in and he explained how I can do the lenses Exchange which is a cataract procedure? I liked what he was saying about it but there was no guarantee that I was not going to use glasses. So I decided to do it. And here I am not wearing glasses anymore. Still healing and going through the normal things of the healing. But excited for the end result and not warring glasses anymore. I recommend global lasik to anyone that is looking for the same outcome that I got.
