I got my glasses here four years ago and had a great experience. This time I came in for an eye exam, and it was the best experience I’ve ever had. Dr. Chen thoroughly explained everything I was concerned about and gave excellent advice. I highly recommend this place and plan to bring my family here for exams as well. In a few days, I’ll come back to pick out frames and get new glasses made. The front desk staff were very patient. They also helped me fit a pair of sports glasses today. Thank you to everyone!

I had a wonderful experience at my optometrist appointment today with Dr. Vincent Chen and Cynthia. Dr. Chen — He was patient, thorough, and caring. I really appreciate when a doctor asks, “Do you have any questions for me?” and Dr. Chen did this multiple times without rushing me out. Thank you, Dr. Chen! All my worries and questions were answered. Cynthia (front desk) — She was very helpful, friendly, caring, and knowledgeable about the products at store. She is amazing! Thank you both for helping me today (4/7/26)—I really appreciate it!

Dr. Chen is an exceptional optometrist and one that’s very passionate about what he does and the way he explains everything in detail to you makes you understand and learn at the same time, as well as know what your next steps are. This is not the typical exam and prescription style you would experience elsewhere. Absolutely recommended! You should experience it yourself to understand.

I would not recommend Dr. Alan Chu. My visit felt rushed from start to finish. he seemed impatient and eager to move on to the next patient rather than taking the time to be thorough. The exam itself came across as sloppy, with little attention to detail or care for accuracy. I left feeling like my concerns weren't heard and my eye health wasn't taken seriously. I'd suggest looking elsewhere for an optometrist who will give you the time and attention you deserve.

I visited Golden Irvine Optometry for Presbyopia concern. I’ve been to this shop a few times in the past and always had great experience with services provided by Mimi and her team. This time is no exception. Mimi helped setup my appointment with optometrist, and helped me choose the appropriate frame and glasses. Received my glasses in a couple of weeks. Pretty awesome! I no longer have that “senior moment” when reading off mobile phone screen or restaurant menu. Good to feel young again…..
