Grin Eye Care

Dr Wongs did my cataract surgery and I am so pleased. Several years later, I still have 20/ 20 visions. I know some people have different results, but mine have been wonderful. I had used glasses or contact lenses since 6th grade. His staff is also wonderful. As with all good docs and very busy days, the waiting times can be 30 to 60 minutes depending on which office you choose. That is not usual. But they all listen to you, answer all questions, and are very professional. I would highly recommend them.

I’ve had excellent experiences with Grin Eye care and the entire staff. They are kind, professional and welcoming. I’ve had surgical procedures as well as routine eye care visits and they have always taken time to listen to my concerns , explain everything clearly and made me feel comfortable throughout the appointment. I’m currently seeing Dr. Gerson and I genuinely appreciate his knowledge and thoroughness. It’s clear he really cares about his patients and providing great care. This facility looked very upscale, almost futuristic. At first, I didn’t feel like I made enough money to go here lol but the receptionist was very kind. She was also wearing an army unit sweater, which for a veteran like me, made me feel more at home. Both of the people that looked at my Eyes during the visit were very helpful and answered all my questions. If I have anything negative to say at all, it’s that I didn’t get to test my vision as much as I wanted lol, initially stopping at 20/20, but she saw I wanted to go more so she dropped it to 20/15, but I wanted to see how good my eyes were! Haha next time, perhaps.

I showed up unannounced today at the Leawood Location in need of a fix of my frames in a hurry because we are leaving on a one week vacation this weekend. Grace black immediately greeted me and asked how she could help me. I explained the situation and she offered me a few few different options of repair versus placing my existing lenses and a donated pair of frames to get me through the trip. She was very confident that she could help me and did some problem-solving ultimately ended up getting me set up so that I could see the vacation that I’m getting ready to take. In a week that was filled with overwhelming stress and apprehension, my emergency visit with Dr. Jeffry Gerson left me feeling hopeful, confident, and reassured by his diagnosis and care. From the moment I walked in, the staff was kind, helpful, and calming, easing any anxiety that I was feeling. After check in, I was seen within 5 minutes of my appointment time. The questions about my symptoms as well as the multiple tests that were administered felt relevant and necessary to get to the root of what I was experiencing. Dr. Gerson was incredibly kind and attentive. Though I am not his regular patient, Dr. Gerson was very measured in reviewing my overall health history, and discussing his recommended treatment with me. For 30 minutes or more, he listened carefully, answered all my questions, and made me feel at ease throughout my visit. His explanations were clear and thorough, giving me confidence about his observations and my care. So in the age of prerehearsed answers, and microwavable quick visits, Dr. Gerson's commitment to excellence is a welcomed and needed example of what medical care should be.
