I really like my nurse BUT...I have a problem with the fact they will not write scripts for what I need meaning pain pills. it's troubling. With a plethora of problems that have arose at age 65, I don't want to look for another Dr. how is this helping the patient?

I want everybody to know that I absolutely love this place! (: Everybody here has always been so welcoming, caring & very supportive! I would like to recognize John Downs first & foremost! He is 1000% dedicated to helping his clients/patients! As well as Marysol & Daniel! They truly are committed to their job! :] All of the staff are just wonderful! (:
We love our physician, which is why we stay where we are. But the switch to HeathLinc has been terrible. The centralized call system ensures you never get to the provider, so you have to go in to schedule appointments. The online health records system is broken most of the time, and you get routed to a voicemail if you seek assistance with it. Fortunately most of our care if not with HL, but the service standards they deliver to their patients is no acceptable.
DENTAL: Let me start off by saying Dr. Hussein was a sweetheart and was wonderful with my two year old son. Unfortunately, others in the office were not as wonderful. We waited 45 minutes to get called back which I was not too bothered by initially. The dental assistant was very rude to the dental students. She told them not to stop in front of her at the corner of the hallway when she has a patient when they were clearly letting us go in front of them. There were two ladies working at the front desk and one was busy so the dental assistant told us to go to the other window. The lady proceeded to fling open her glass window, sigh loudly, then put her head in her hands. A patient next to me was checking out using a translator because she didn’t speak English and the front desk lady loudly said “oh my god” and sighed once again while looking at the Hispanic patient next to me. I proceeded to make my sons 6 month check up but I will be cancelling this due to the unprofessional workers in that office making my sons first dental experience more stressful.
Son needed to reschedule for an important event but we were unable to contact. Chose his prevention care over his activity today & they had us wait 45mins to be seen. Then upon explaining our situation, the lady said we wouldn't need x rays but wanted to check with the dentist to make sure it was alright to still do his cleaning. We waited another 25mins for the dentist who seemed perfectly fine with not doing x rays for our situation. She then added "but ____" and he said for our situation it's fine. She then went back and forth with him battling her own idea??? It was very bizarre. The dentist finally put his hands in the air and told her "it's your call" & went back to his patient. She then started referring us to other people she knew??? In other cities??? After knowing we already had our son set up with dental. It had been an hour and a half when I finally asked her "are you going to give him a cleaning?" And she said "no." Our son can't catch a break with dentists like her. Our other child on the other hand had a wonderful check up with a different lady in the same office & the receptionists were amazingly sweet to both kids. I guess it depends on the type of human you're assigned to. As amazing as the others and dentists were, we won't be back and I do not refer this place due to the sour apple who lied to us and made us wait, just to go back on her word. Seemed like a nice lady... but a nice lady would clean a littles ones teeth, not refuse him after he missed a big day with his brother just to be turned down. Absolutely unacceptable for a dentist.
