Great place great people I bought a scratch and dent. They let me take it out of the box plug it up and make sure it was good. Absolutely phenomenal service. I’m very happy to the people in Laporte way to go way to be kind way to make sure that what I buy works yes it was a scratching dent, but you treated it just like a brand new product absolutely happy. The store was clean nobody stock. Everybody was great. Everybody even had all their teeth. It was very good very nice. Good job Walmart. Good job Laporte.
Went to Walmart on Boyd this morning. Garden center doors were not open as they should have been and was told the cashier did not show up for work on time, so was advised to take the flowers all the way to the front of the store to purchase. This was all already inconvenient. I was also only there to assist my elderly client. When we got to the front of the store with flowers, potting soil etc, Deb the cashier at self checkout immediately accused us of not paying for our scotch tape when it clearly showed on the screen that we had. Did not appreciate all this inconvenience.
Compared to the Walmart in Michigan City, this one has a LOT more checkout people. They still have self-checkouts, of course. Much lower ceilings and smaller floor plan gives it a local feel while still being a massive corporation full of cheap good - for better or for worse.
Visited on Easter morning and it wasn't very busy. Employees seemed nice and helpful. The carts were all stuck together and difficult to detach. Carts also seemed to be just sitting everywhere outside. It really wasn't the best or worst store, we didn't have a very memorable experience.
