Doctor was great, staff seemed friendly, but the wait was 2 and a half hours for a 5 minute eye exam. We were given no forewarning, and had to entertain a 1 year old for three hours until they decided they were ready to see us. My husband missed hours of work for what shouldn't have taken more than hour, even considering eye dilation.
I had an excellent experience. I arrived at 7:30 for my 7:40 appointment and was in an exam room by 8:00. The doctor and his staff were friendly and helpful! I was out in about an hour.
AWESOME DR AND STAFF. I had to put in all caps to distract, you, the reader from the negative reviews. 😁 Dr. Hinrichsen and his staff are great with great customer service. The wait time is long and I’ve been taking my 7 yr old here for years for routine checkups. I understand that the attention span of kids can be short and they become cranky but the office is set up with toys and an area to watch movies. OR this can be a time that you can bond, talk, or play with your child. Please pack snacks or toys that your child will like. If you google Pediatric Optometrist you will only see Dr. Hinrichsen pop up. When I moved back home from Houston, I quickly realized that the area is lacking many specialists from children to adults. Yes, you can take your child to other eye specialists, if they accept due to age, but they may not always know how to be patient with children or how to get their exam completed appropriately. No, I don’t personally know the staff. I’m a healthcare worker and mother who appreciates this staff for taking care of my son’s needs.
I had a great experience here! The staff was very friendly and welcoming, which made the whole visit comfortable from start to finish. The doctor was so kind, professional, and very experienced. He took the time to explain everything thoroughly to me. I felt like my son was in good hands. Highly recommend!
We've always had a good experience when seeing the Dr's. They have made my 4 year old Great Niece comfortable with the Dr's, Nurse's and office staff. If I've had any issues or questions they've answered them in a timely manner. Thank y'all so much.
