This was my first visit as a new patient to Hopping. The experience was delightful. The staff was wonderful, and the doctor (Prati)was the best.! I felt at ease with everyone there from the first minute I came in the building! Thank you for a smooth transition to a new eye doctor!!! Great job!!

My wife and I have been patients of Hopping Associates since we moved to Texas in 1988. Dr. Ron is a board certified optometrist who has successfully treated me for glaucoma and lens replacement surgery for both eyes. Lately he has been treating me for Age-Related Macular Degeneration with a minor diagnosis of dry eye. My latest visit confirmed that my AMD remains under control. Everything helps from Dr. Hopping. Dr. Ronald Hopping is a total professional who served as a past president of the American Optometric Association. He is a pleasant, soft spoken man with an easy approach and timely diagnoses for treating my vision issues over the years. Despite the technical aspects of treating my eye issues, Dr. Hopping’s explanations for changes to my vision over four decades have been spot on and in language I understand as a layman. Hopping Associates, Inc. is a family enterprise headed by Dr. Ronald Hopping and his wife, Dr. Desiree Hopping, who is a Board Certified Therapeutic Optometrist and Glaucoma Specialist. They approached my wife and I almost like family. We have been comfortable asking questions and requesting their assistance between appointments when we felt a sense of urgency. The staff at Hopping Associates, Inc. is always friendly and welcoming whenever we arrive at the office on Bay Area Blvd in Clear Lake or in Friendswood for a vision appointment or eye glass fitting. We’re so very pleased with our time with our optometrists who never fail to assist us wholeheartedly as we continue to enjoy great, respectful care under their guidance.

Hopping Eye Associates location is easily accessible by car and has ample parking. They appear to have all the latest high tech equipment for prescribing glasses and analyzing vision problems. This includes a camera which takes pictures of the inside of the eye. I remember when this was introduced some years ago. It was promoted as eliminating the need for dilating the eyes. However, my previous optometrist always wanted to dilate anyway. He never did explain why. The optometrist assigned to me on my last visit to Hopping was Dr. Rachel Looten, a recent graduate of the U of H College of Optometry. She didn’t mention dilation, and I didn’t bring it up. Eliminating the dilation cuts the appointment time in half. All the staff at Hopping was very friendly and competent. I am looking forward to my next annual eye exam.

Me and family have been a patiences for over37 yrs and wouldn't trade anything about going here . Everyone is so kind and caring . We moved her in 75 and I think we started going there 1980. Love ❤️ these doctors. What can you hesitate to recommend them to anybody.
