Really impressed with Horizon Eye Huntersville (and I've been in healthcare administration for decades: not easily impressed). Had great, careful care by four people, including Dr. Bell within an hour and they were all smart, thorough, professional but human, and quick without my feeling rushed. By the time she saw me, Dr. Bell had already versed herself on a very unusual Rx I take, a protein inhibitor with significant potential eye health implications. She addressed multiple issues thoroughly and well with great answers to questions. The other thing that stood out here is how well and respectfully staff work together. This is an unusually positive office culture; kudos to management for creating such a pleasant care environment.

I took my elderly friend to an appointment with Dr. Beaupre today, and we were both very impressed with the care she received. He was extremely attentive and took the time to truly listen as she explained her concerns. He asked thoughtful questions and made sure she understood everything that was discussed. What stood out most was his kindness and patience. He noticed that she had difficulty hearing and made a point to speak louder so she could hear him clearly. There were several times when she needed him to repeat himself, and each time he did so without hesitation and with the same patience and kindness. He was also very honest and straightforward about her situation and provided a thoughtful solution that clearly reflected what he felt was in her best interest. It was refreshing to see a physician who not only provides excellent medical care but also treats his patients with such genuine compassion and respect. We are very grateful for the time, patience, and care Dr. Beaupre showed her. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a physician who truly listens and puts his patients first.
Dr. Bell did not tell me what I wanted to hear, but she told me what I needed to hear. I appreciated her addressing me as a human being and speaking to me In terms that I could understand. She did not address me as if I had the inability to comprehend (as some do). She explained my situation to me. I thoroughly appreciated this. Nice doctor! I highly recommend.
While the ophthalmologists who see me and my daughter are fantastic, the in-house optical dispensary completely ruined our relationship with this practice. I spent a massive amount of money on a new pair of prescription glasses that are entirely unusable. When I went back to get it resolved, the staff actually blamed me for the issue. Forget customer satisfaction or the idea that "the customer is king". Since our wonderful doctor is retiring soon anyway, this was the final straw. I am moving my family to a completely new practice.
Dr. Bell and the technicians in the Huntersville office were great. The problem started after my appointment when I stopped by the optical center to buy new frames and lenses. The selection of Silhouette frames was terrible and so an acknowledged by the attendant. It was recommended that I go to the Mallard Creek location. I called the Mallard Creek location and was forced to leave a message, which I did. I followed up with an email to the main office. I still have not received a call back or a response to my email. It’s as if they don’t want to make a sale… very disappointing and frustrating. Guess I’ll go elsewhere.
