Dr. Blatchford is exceptionally kind and personable. The atmosphere is welcoming. I appreciate the thorough explanations provided, ensuring you fully understand what YOUR insurance coverage is. There is not deception up front and a big bill later. It is rare these days to find professionals who are not burdened by extensive write-offs and I am grateful for their integrity. I have also experienced other instances where genuine care was lacking just to get you in the door, and after the fact realizing these chains actually cost you more since the out the door costs end up being more because of the lack of honesty on what it really is going to cost you. I will reccomend Hour Eye Care over and over again, just because Dr. Blatchford and her staff care about you as a person.

The most thorough exam I have EVER had and I've been wearing glasses for 35+ years. The doctor even checked my eyes after I put the sample contacts in (Whoa!). The ladies in the office were great and all honest when helping choose frames...I hate shopping of all types and glasses are no different. Super friendly! I had such a good time I forgot to take my contacts with me! Haha. Glasses are a little more pricy than I'm used to but they warranty your glasses for the year....
2 hour eyecare for me, deceiving business practices. Will not verbally disclose or ask for permission before performing additional, non-covered scans on you. Upcharges if you want contacts - significantly more than elsewhere in the region. Very polite staff, but took very long for being called "hour eye care." Ophthalmologist seems very big into taking supplements. Expecting maybe a $50 exam w/ my $15 copay, left with a $150 bill and no contacts/glasses. Such a strange instance.
I will never go here, and will not be sending my kids back again! My son waited 40 minutes after his appointment to get seen. Way overpriced $259 for exam for glasses a d contacts, and exam was not covered by insurance when told on the phone it would be when making appointment. Ended up paying $130 out of pocket, which is the cost and any other office, and they billed My insurance $160. Very deceptive **UPDATE IN RESPOSE** When appointment was scheduled, the lady who scheduled checked my vision insurance while on the phone, and confirmed you office was in network My policy covers an eye exam with no co-pay and imaging up to $39.00 My son said images were taken of his eyes without permission or option to opt out My son walked out of your office paying for the exam and imaging (not approved) and you still billed my insurance anyway
Dr. Blatchford was very nice and accommodating to fit me into her schedule. Amanda was also very nice - she assisted me during the process of picking out glasses and explained the most cost effective choices because I told her that was a concern. When Amanda had to leave, I wish I would've INSISTED rather than just suggesting I come back another day because it was close to closing time and an ornery woman with zero customer service skills stepped in to "help." She didn't listen to what I wanted but kept telling me what she thought I should know. I ended up confused, with a headache from the whole experience, and unhappy with my choices so I called prior to the order going out but Ms Ornery was quick to point out that I signed the paperwork stating NO REFUNDS and tooted her own horn about how above and beyond she went as if I had the audacity to be a satisfied customer. This place will get no more business from me.
