Our experience today was dreadful! My husband had fluid behind his left eye and we were here for our second visit. The attendant said he was going to dilate his right eye and we told him no it’s the left eye. He said the computer said right again we told him no it’s the left eye he did not listen to us and dilated the wrong eye. When we got to the next station we told the attendant it’s the left eye. Finally he looked from our first visit and realized someone had put the wrong eye on the report! I told the doctor and he tried to just blow it off. The building is old and dark and needs updates. We will never go there again!

This place Houston Retina Associates P.A at 561 W Medical Center Blvd suite E has unprofessional front desk staff and the doctor was running behind I was here at 2:15pm for a 2:30 appointment and it is now 6pm and I am still sitting here. The doctor and their staff are inconsiderate of patients time having them waiting for so long. Don’t visit this office if you value your time because they certainly don’t.

I have been going to the Clear Lake clinic for years and see Dr. Lam every time. Sure some days there is a wait but my daughter and I engage in conversations with the other patients and have made new friends. Some days a new staff member is a bit confused and maybe a bit rude but know that they are uncomfortable in their new environment. Next time they are super friendly and helpful. I love this clinic.

8/14/25 Poor Value and Service QualityI'm questioning whether this $38 copay was worth it for what amounted to two pictures, four eye drops, and less than five minutes with the doctor. The entire process felt overpriced for the minimal care received.Extended Wait Times Despite Early AppointmentDespite being scheduled for the first appointment of the day, I waited over an hour to be seen. During my 30-minute wait in the front area, I watched approximately six other patients get called back before me, which was concerning given my appointment time.Hygiene and Professionalism ConcernsThe technician administering my eye drops did not wear gloves while touching my face, despite glove dispensers being readily available throughout the facility. This basic hygiene protocol should be standard practice.Staff Focus IssuesWhile patients waited in both waiting rooms, I overheard staff discussing personal matters including TikTok sponsorship opportunities worth $600. This gave the impression that patient care wasn't the primary focus during business hours.Overall ExperienceThe combination of excessive wait times, questionable hygiene practices, unprofessional conduct, and poor value for the brief medical consultation has left me disappointed with this practice. The lack of urgency from all staff members was particularly noticeable throughout my visit.

I have been seeing Dr. Tran since 2020. I’ve probably been to all his offices at least once. It’s been a pleasant journey. I was going blind in both eyes. With surgery on both eyes, he made me see again! Now, I only take one shot on my left eye every three months. I recommended Dr. Tran to a family friend and now she is able to see without laser treatments or injections. I trust Dr. Tran and his assistant with my eyes. Wouldn’t go anywhere else.
