Hudson Valley Eye Surgeons

My first visit with Hudson Valley Eye Surgeons and I saw Dr.Herrera. From start to finish my appointment was flawless. From the front desk staff with their friendly and kind demeanor, to the tech who did my eye exam was extremely professional and kind, to seeing Dr.Herrera who actually listened to me as a patient. She listened to my concerns, was extremely professional and made sure I understood all that was discussed. I am very pleased with this visit and would recommend to everyone.

I moved to the Hudson Valley area almost 1.5 years ago, and Dr. Esposito became my eye doctor at Hudson Valley Eye Surgeons PC., located in Fishkill, NY. Dr. Esposito takes the time to make a thorough examination of my eyes, and she listens and addresses any vision issues that I may have. She also adjusted my eyeglass prescription, and now I am seeing better than ever with them. The front desk staff is friendly and professional, and I like that it is easy to call through to the office and speak with a person at the front desk. Additionally, it is easy to make an appointment, whether you call in or make your next appointment when paying. I wish there was a way to schedule an appointment online, but their present system has been working for me. It is a large practice and I am sure all of the doctors are excellent, but from my personal experience, I highly recommend Dr. Esposito.

Dr. Matthew Schear was highly recommended to me by family members and friends a few years ago for being highly competent and having great results with surgeries. My personal experience found that he certainly lived up to these expectations. He is a very personable and caring person who is professional, knowledgeable, and thorough in every aspect. He has your best interests at heart when recommending treatment for any eye issue that you may encounter. Recently, I had two cataract surgeries, and as with any surgery, I was very anxious as to what was going to happen. I can tell you that it could not have gone any better. The procedures were surprisingly fast and painless. Dr. Schear was amazing, and the staff at the ambulatory facility was wonderful. The outcome of my eyesight now could not be any better. There are other streamlined cataract procedures that offer “no before or after eye drops”, but I prefer one that takes the necessary precautions before and after that will ensure the best possible care, results, and success with surgery. Thank you Dr. Schear and staff for taking all the necessary precautions!

This review is for the staff, the professional, who gave me most of my eye exam, and Dr. Herrero. I’m very pleased with them – the waiting rooms and exam rooms are always very clean, the staff at the desk are super friendly and helpful, and the person who conducted my examination prior to Dr. Herrero following up was thoughtful and thorough. This is the first time I saw Dr. Herrero, and I was very pleased with her professionalism, pleasant trees, and overall knowledge

Dr Schear is absolutely wonderful. Our son had an emergency, was seen immediately and within 15 min Dr Schear had cleared a foreign object from my son’s eye and all was well. My son went from scared and unhappy when we arrived, to smiling and laughing as we were leaving. Thanks so much for a wonderful experience!
