I dropped off my favorite pair of sunglasses here to get repaired. I could still wear them, the hinges for the temples were just very loose. I got a voicemail saying that they “hadn’t survived the process and I could come pick up the pieces.” When I called for clarification I was surprised that he got very defensive and even rude. I was told he just did what I asked him to and that anytime you get something fixed there’s a chance it will break. If I had been given a disclaimer that there was a chance they would become unwearable I wouldn’t have left them there. I had asked if the hinges could be tightened. When I picked up the pieces it looks as if screws that were too big had tried to be screwed in. If the metal was “too soft” then I wish as the expert he would have rather acted cautiously and not had tried replacing the screws. I wasn’t offered any consolation and the whole interaction was quite unpleasant. Will not be coming back and I wish I hadn’t gone in the first place.

Great service. Also, I usually purchase my eyeglasses at the chains like LensCrafters and Stanton but not anymore. Went to Inlet Optical in search of Silhouette frames which I now love, but equally love the quality of the lenses from Inlet Optical! Definitely my best pair of glasses in the 30+ years of wearing glasses/contacts.

Their late hours availability allowed me to get an appointment without missing work. Dr. Lessly was straight to the point, efficient, and understandable. I am glad my insurance offered this great provider. I will definitely be returning. Even through my eye sight has not changed too much over the past two years, that little change in my prescription has allowed me to finish a day of work without a slight headache at the end of my shift.

Would not recommend. (This is actually the first negative review I’ve ever given.) The staff is friendly, and their hours are accommodating to busy schedules, but my experience was just awful. It took over six weeks from my initial visit for me to finally get my contacts. I had to come in person to the office three times: once for the exam, once to return the contacts they had ordered with the wrong prescription, and finally to pick up the right ones they’d told me would be sent to my door. I had to call them week after week to follow up. They’d tell me they forgot to order them, or they mixed up the prescriptions, or the doctor thought I should be using a different prescription than the one he and I actually agreed on… it was bizarre. Every time I called, the staff was very apologetic and would say things like, “I am SO sorry for the inconvenience. I am ordering these for you as soon as we get off the phone.” And then I’d call back a week later after hearing no updates, and they’d tell me again that the contacts were not ordered, but that they’d take care of it right then. This happened over and over. All I needed was an eye exam and new contact lenses, and it resulted in the most chaotic customer experience I’ve ever had.

My first trip to Inlet Optical was great. Everyone was helpful, friendly and very competent. I ordered new glasses, was very happy with the frames and the price! A few weeks later I experienced something strange in my eyes and called Inlet Optical for an emergency appointment. They took me right away. They took the next step to get me in to see a retinal specialist. They have a patient in me for life.
