Why do I drive all the way from Bay City to Standish for my very low-maintenence eyecare? Because becoming a new patient meant easy, professional and friendly on boarding. It means getting an eye exam and admin support from staff who cares enough to get to know you. It's becoming a patient of a caregiver who is family-owned for over a century. It's showing up on a Thursday when you didn't realize they're closed and the doctor is in the office, pokes his head out, gives you the contacts you came to pick up and tells you to call your payment in when the office staff is there. This place will keep getting my business because they truly deserve it.

John is an excellent optometrist, he is very knowledgeable and explains everything in detail so the patient completely understands everything. The only problem I have is that he doesn’t return important phone calls to the patient, at least in my case, not even a voicemail, when I explicitly asked for some feedback about serious eye issues. I asked that he do so at the end of the day when work is done, but absolutely nothing, on two different occasions. A patient should mean something.

I travel a long way to work with this team of professionals! I especially love their amazing variety of choices for frames! Truly something for everyone and tons of options for me... its hard to choose one! Thank you, Kathy, for your fashion opinions and great customer service. I've been wearing glasses since 7th grade (currently 45). My typical experience was a chain or Walmart type situation for the exam, then ordering them online. As I got older my eyes needed more attention as reading became more difficult. I explained this to Dr. Graves and they scheduled me for an exam. They were able to tweak my contact precription which eliminated my reading glasses most of the time, also I ordered an amazing pair of saftey glasses that have really changed my overall eyeglass experience. Dr. Graves reexamined me twice, making sure everything was absolutely perfect. Good luck finding this service at any chain type situation. I always recommend Dr. Graves and his office and they have earned future business and my high recommendation!
