Came to look at frames, as I’ve been carrying around my script looking for the perfect pair, been eyeing some raybans- go into to look… ok right? Wrong. Employee attempted to guard the frames and followed me around the store carefully guarding each rack of frames by standing in front of it, like she thought I was going to take one and run off. She made me extremely uncomfortable and needless to say I won’t be buying anything in a place that makes me feel like a thief. No thanks.

There I was, a mom with broken glasses 6 weeks before Christmas. Of course, I'd let my prescription expire and my bank account was FEELING THE BURN of Christmas spirit. I did NOT have the extra money to pay for an eye exam. I couldn't just go without glasses! Not when my job duties included wrangling two sugared up little boys to every holiday gathering our extended family could dream up over the next 6 weeks! WALMART VISION LADIES TO THE RESCUE! I explained my situation to the lady behind the counter and she gave me what I can only describe as a "verbal warm hug!" After she reassured me that everything would be okay, She spent about 2 minutes behind her computer screen, than walked over to the wall of glasses and pulled down my exact pair of frames I'd purchased 2 years earlier. She popped my lenses out of my broken specs, put them into the new frames, cleaned and fitted them to my face, and all I had to pay for was the frames WHICH WERE CHEAPER THAN I EXPECTED. They saved this overstimulated boy mom from a total holiday meltdown, in under 5 minutes. Sent me into the world with new frames, a "you can do it" pep talk, and a big smile. Not sure I'll ever get glasses anywhere else! Thank you ladies ❤️🙌

The Dr has no clue my husband and I both had issues with our glasses. Mine had to be remade and the Dr got very nasty with my husband. We went to a different Dr and he said that the lenses were ok for each eye individually but not when both eyes work together. We will never go back to the Walmart West Branch Optical.

Staff don’t seem to know their stuff. Told us twice they took our insurance even confirmed before making appointments for myself and kiddos. Went to go to my appt and they then tell me the doctor does not take our insurance, so turned around called my husband as it’s his insurance. He called not even five minutes after I left after being told they do not take our insurance just for her to tell my husband oh they do take it. Never mind, we will go else where.

So, the first pair didn’t work and I was very leery. But Phyllis, who is taking care of me at the W. branch Vision Center, is great. Give that woman a raise! She helped me pick out another pair and measure over and over again so that we could could get it right. Because she was so detailed and took such good care of me, I decided to get two pair of sunglasses and two additional pair of glasses. Her idea to only do one sunglasses and one pair of regular glasses first, is excellent. We can make sure now that they’re going to work for me for all five pairs. I’ve picked out glasses many many times and this is the first time anybody told me about the size of glasses. It just never dawned on me that glasses had sizes. Gillis gave me honest opinions and didn’t let me just buy some thing because I was in a hurry. I would not have been happy with that choice so Phyllis iOS great!! I just know I will be satisfied once we complete everything. The key is to have patience and plan to spend time when you’re going. Of course asking for Phyllis, is the best thing you could do! Thank you!!
